Do you put your night clothes on early in the evening?

These replies throw up another question. Lots of you take a bath in the evening I see. Do you take a shower as well in the morning? I just have one shower in the morning unless it is very hot.

Dog walking is the problem, don't want to scare the neighbours by going out in my nightie. Do like to dispense with the bra though as Grannypiper said.

I arrive home from work about 5pm and have my fleecy pj's on 10mins later its the first thing I do after coming through the door,on my days off I have been known to stay in pj's all day if I don't have to go out anywhere.

Never. I get ready for bed, then go to bed. I rarely goo downstairs in my.nightie in the morning either, preferring to shower and get dressed first.

DaphneBroon haven't heard it called a goonie for years, i have moved back to Scotland after 30 years away( i know your not in Scotland) and i am really enjoying getting used to our language again.
I am a great lover of pj's and normally change in to them at 6pm although it has been known to be a couple of hours earlier, taking that blo*dy bra off is the best feeling in the world ! I do get dressed after my morning cuppa though unlike my DSIL who can stay in her pj's for the whole weekend

I do. Get home from long drive about 6 45 - quick wash and change into jammies and cosy fleece top. Just feels relaxing and a change from work clothes. On a day off, have been known to still have them well into morning, if having a easy relaxing day.

I try to have my bath at 7 , and listen to the Archers while I soak, it is my 15 minutes of peaceful solitude. I then get into nightie and dressing gown for the evening. The only time I tend not to is in Summer as we may be out in the garden for longer.

I don't have any PJ s.
D and her SO are currently staying with us. They both will happily stay in PJ s all day if they don't need to go out angry

Do my best to do so about 9 after shower.. house is very cosy...just installed Stanley stove and the house is very comfy

Nelliemoser Mon 28-Nov-16 23:29:54

Not too early in the evening but it does feel nice and cosy. I have rather more problems actually getting out of my dressing gown and dressed at a decent time in the morning.

Anniebach Mon 28-Nov-16 23:23:17

Never, house is too cold

I have a bath around 8.30 and put my pj's on, usually getting on for midnight before I go to bed

Maranta Mon 28-Nov-16 22:25:40

No, my house isn't warm enough!

Lona Mon 28-Nov-16 22:15:37

Yes, I sometimes put some baggy old pjs on in the evening and back on again when I get up.
Some nights i just feel uncomfortable in my clothes, usually when I've eaten too much! grin

rosesarered Mon 28-Nov-16 22:13:23

Daphne does your DH know about this goonie chap?

annodomini Mon 28-Nov-16 22:08:28

Sometimes I get into my red fleece PJs though I don't sleep in them - far too warm. Do I put them on again for breakfast? Yes, I do and usually they don't come off again much before lunch!

DaphneBroon Mon 28-Nov-16 22:05:54

I always walk Grace around 10 so no, I can't change into my PJ's much as I might like to snuggle into my goonie. I'd look pretty silly walking the dog in PJ's and slippers! .

Ana Mon 28-Nov-16 22:01:27

No, I just can't do it although DD and her girls do!

gillybob Mon 28-Nov-16 21:57:58

There is nothing I like more well there are probably one or two things than coming in from work in the winter , running a nice warm bubble bath, lighting a few candles and having a nice long steep, then putting my cosy pj's on. Heaven . Sadly it doesn't happen very often as I have quite a few evening duties.

tanith Mon 28-Nov-16 21:54:12

Not every day but once or twice a week I put a comfy pair of fleecy pj's on to watch tv. I take them off though when I get in bed can't bear to wear anything in bed.

rosesarered Mon 28-Nov-16 21:53:40

My DS and DIL do this, it sounds rather cosy, however I only tend to do it now and then if I shower in the evening for some reason instead of in the morning.

overthehill Mon 28-Nov-16 21:50:06

Met up with two friends and partner/husband yesterday and they both apparently get undressed for bed quite early in the evening putting on pjs and dressing gowns and settle down to some TV before going up later.

I don't do this I wait till I stagger up the stairs, usually after falling asleep in the chair for a bit beforehand. Maybe I should try this as they say they like to do it.
