Christmas trees...what colour?

We've just bought a new green artificial tree. The choice is huge. I rather fancied a frosted tree, but DH put his foot down.?

Why bother having a tree shaped object if it is so very far removed from anything natural?

KateK the best time to buy is in the January sales. That's when we bought ours, about 10 yrs ago.

Tree has to be green but it is a very realistic artificial one.
I have red beads rather than tinsle (hate the stuff) and white lights. Baubles are an eclectic mix collected over the years including some from my childhood.
This year I've bought a polar bear shaped one.

There's no substitute for a real one. Sadly we had to give up on real ones when we moved here. Not really feasible in a 4th floor flat.
We do have an artificial one but its depressing.

I have a nice skinny black artificial tree up in the loft. It came from our previous house where there wasn't much tree space.
I always had artificial until DH came on the scene and insisted on a real tree.

With a bit of furniture shifting we can have a tree in the corner of the living room here, so it'll probably be a real one again, but fairly small.
Decorations have been collected over the years with DD so no real colour scheme.

A new criteria for our planned new house search next year is space for the Christmas tree!!!

We used to have two-a traditional green tree dressed in gold in the sitting room, and a white one dressed in a lime green, pink and turquoise in the dining room. We only have room for the white one since downsizing, but I really would like a green tree again with the snowy looking branches. Black Friday sales???
