Ten ORDINARY things you ve never done V

GrammaH asked what we might be proud of, of the things we've never done. I'm proud of the fact that I spent a whole night in Las Vegas and didn't gamble - not even a nickel in a slot machine!

These are my 10 things

1. Smoked a cigarette
2. Had a tattoo
3. Ridden a horse
4. Seen the film Dirty Dancing
5. Sewed myself any trousers
6. Changed a wheel on a car
7. Not owned a dog or cat
8. Not been to a night club
9. Never placed a bet on a horse
10.Never dyed my hair

It really is amazing how ordinary some of these things are. I am wondering how you get through life without ever having worn white knickers. My list otherwise has a few things that have been already mentioned and some of which I agree are totally unnecessary

I have never smoked. Anything.
I have never broken a bone.
I have never been in a hot air balloon
I have never worn jewellery, except a wedding ring for a very short time (I'm still married but can't bear the thought of metal on my skin)
I have never had a Jaegerbomb
I have never had a daughter (this is, obviously NOT in the "unnecessary" category)

I have worn white knickers but I've never worn any Ann Summers stuff.

I have never:
Been to Blackpool
Eaten an oyster
Been married
Been skiing
Had a son
Watched anything like TOWIE, Made in Chelsea, Geordie Shore etc
Been to a football match
Had a tattoo
Bungee jumped
Been to the Channel Islands

I think I've done pretty much everything else that's been listed here!

Danced the Slosh
Taken a selfie.
Travelled by motorbike, helicopter, or hot air balloon.
Been on a horse.
Eaten beetroot.

Never used Twitter or FB
Never given birth (am step-mum/gran)

There would have been such a long list before I retired. Now, though, it's just a list of things I don't want to do eg. Go to a boxing match.

Yes it is weird to read what people haven't done! I too do not use the self service tills on principle. Haven't: been up in loft haven't used twitter haven't driven abroad haven't been to Africa or Asia. (Although would love to)

I seem to have done almost all of the above but I have never bought a lottery ticket. That's pretty ordinary! And boring too.

I've never taxed my car (DH does it)
Never been to India
Never been to football/rugby/tennis match
Never had a Grandson

I have never:

Been to Scotland
Been to Ireland
Drunk a cup of tea
Drunk a cup of coffee
Drunk alcohol
Eaten a MacDonald's
Smoked
Watched an episode of Friends
Had a massage
Enjoyed housework!

Ps. Just off to Waitrose now ?

I think it's fascinating as many things on other lists I ve done many times like buying in a charity shop ( all the time) and camping (often) etc and online banking or shopping etc or even having another partner haha or riding a cycle, one puzzling one never been on a train wow that's a biggy
Am I proud of the fact I ve never shopped in a Waitrose or John Lewis neither proud nor sad they aren't either in my home town and I ve always thought of them as out my price bracket so never bothered

Done everything on OP list except no. 3. Never needed to shave legs.

Surprised at how many don't swim.

I've never owned a microwave

I've done all on OP list except ridden a horse and that's not an ambition now.

Owned a dog
Had a piercing or tattoo
Smoked anything
Been camping
Driven abroad
used on line banking
Been on a motorbike
Skied or ice skated
Been with any partner other than OH
Of that list the only one I think I may do is paint my toe nails - very happy to have missed the rest!

I have never had a pet
Eaten fish or sea food except Cod from the chippy.
Had a tattoo
Had a piercing
Been on roller skates
Used self service check outs ( think they steal jobs - don't agree with them)
Had a manicure or waxing - do myself, cheaper.
Grey hair ( I still dye)
Purchased anything in a charity shop.
Most of these I may still try - somewhen, although time is running out!!

Never been in my loft
Never stayed up all night talking
Never been on a farm
Never smoked
Never worn a ball gown, the princessy kind
Never held a housewarming party nor any party for adults
Never played a slot machine in a pub
Never screamed at a pop concert - bit late now!
Never met a cat I didn't like

I have steered a boat out of sight of land and I want to do it once more before I pop my clogs.

I would like to know why some of these have never been done. For example, what do you have against poached eggs, Charleygirl?

Never had any sort of piercing, even ears and never will
Never smoked anything at all and never will
Never broken a bone and hope never to do so
Might have a go at some of the other activities on people's lists though so would have to say never yet ....

I have never watched "I'm a celebrity get me out of here"

I have never used a self service till in a supermarket

Never had a driving licence
Never water-skied
