Well just take it easy and don't be afraid to ask for that help, it will get you better sooner than if you overdo things. Glad you like the flowers and are enjoying the grapes. I can send you another tasty morsel if you like. grin [steak and chips emoticon] X

Ruby - very kind of you, enjoying virtual grapes, admiring virtual flowers! You'll find a few of us sharing experiences on the Help! I'm having a new knee thread begun by Jane10!
I'm in a good hospital within what used to be walking distance from my house. The OP was successful, the only reason I'm still in is that I live alone and am waiting for SWs to put 'care package' of morning and evening help in place.
A relatIve who lives down the road and has had 2 new knee joints here is a source of information and reassurance and the person who leads the gentle weekly tai chi group I enjoy at the community centre has been too, He assures me that I'll soon be joining in again!

Sorry Elrel but what is it you are in hospital with? I don't think I have seen on any other thread. I hope they are treating you well, tell them you belong to a very exclusive club and you will tell us if they aren't and we will come and get them for you. grin

No, not yet in bed, just had a bowl of cornflakes so that's breakfast taken care of. Still not fed the dog as she is spark out. She'll come for some when she is hungry.

You are right about Alison, she has been a leading light for disabled people for years now. I first saw her when they did the documentary about her having Paris and have followed the series of programmes since. He must be a grown up now though. shock

I wish all I had to worry about what what my pose was like for a selfie and if I was going to get likes on it on social media. Or maybe I don't. People are fickle these days. I have days when I just can't manage society and all it's weird ways. I crave some good old fashioned innocence of yesteryear.

Anyway, take care, get some rest and some strengthening food. Keep us up to date how you are doing. flowers for you and [grapes] lol. X

Hi it's morning, isn't it? Still being wel looked after in hospital. Wednesday slept 12-6 so was hoping similar las night but only 12-4 then a clunk to ensuite.bathroom. Offered cuppa by passing nurse but sticking to water.
Fiddled on iPad for an hour.
Going to snuggle down again now, hope you're doing the same!
Last night I watched Chris Beardsmore's Chelsea garden installed at GOSH then the amazing Alison Lapper presenting a programme about photographer Rankin snapping people with body/body image issues. If anyone has proved that what you look like isn't who you are she has! Along with Simon Weston, Cassidy Little, Sir Archie McIndoe's WW2 'Guinea Pigs' and a host more. I love the way Alison Lapoer just gets on with being herself. If we all could do that and the pouting selfie fell out of fashion there might be less stress, bullying, envy in the world.
Night night all!

Anybody still up? I've just been watching the JL advert, very funny. I promptly fell asleep when I had come back from car hunting earlier so just about getting sleepy again now but yet to feed one very tired doggie. I have a myriad of lovely programmes to watch from tonight but will save them until later or weekend when nothing much is on. One quick buzz and it's off to bed. smile

Finished all the jobs and I'm still not tired!! Pretty normal for me. Washing put away, fresh lot in, cottage pie made for tomorrow, emptied kitchen bin, tidied up some files, got stuff ready for gym in the morning, clothes out ready to go to DGS's Assembly, books sorted to take DGC to library after school, to name but a few jobs. Might watch catch up TV for a bit.

Usually still up at this time of night. I am often to be found way beyond this time in my craft room. I'm a bit of a night owl but usually up by around 7 in the morning.

Hi Jordana. If I was going to bed at this time I would be having a seriously early night! I've never been tired at this end of the day, even as a little girl. The mornings however..... a very different story.
Brandy chocolate drinks sound worth staying up for though.
I'm heading off for a bath now and will get everything ready for the morning. As I've said, I'm incapable then and everything takes twice as long.
