christmas cards - do you send them?

I ve just made my 50th card I have a couple of friends who have told me they have kept every one of my handmade cards over the years
For me it's the best part of Christmas and I hate the ' not sending ' trend I don't want ecards or good wishes sent on a phone I want a card to hang up and look at and decorate my house with

Yes, I send (and hand out, if poss) Christmas cards and I am very happy to do so. I am also very happy to receive them and can't imagine this changing any time soon.

No I don't and havn't done for a few years now. I ring people up and have a lovely long chat and a cheque gets sent to charity. A win win situation in my opinion.

I used to make all my Christmas cards starting in the Autumn but no one seemed to appreciate them and now I just don't have time. The WI I went to (recently resigned) decided they would only send one card to the group which some of us didn't really like and carried on handing them out to each other. I still send them out and look forward to receiving them and the catch up letters a couple enclose but the cost of the postage is so prohibitive it's making it harder each year.

Any e-cards I receive I print off onto thin card and display with the posted ones, so I am happy to receive either.
I post about 20 charity cards and hand deliver a similar number each year.

ecards cant sit on the mantlepiece so mean nothing. I only buy religious scenes with Merry Christmas written inside not festive greetings or even worse happy holidays Grr. I buy the stamps when on offer in superdrug

Yes, postage is very expensive.

Yes, we send and receive Christmas cards ( ecards are not the same!) Since we rarely get any letters these days, mostly email, it's really nice, and like others, a lot of them are displayed as they look Christmassy, others put in a bowl to be kept ( sometimes there are address or phone or email changes in them that you need to keep.)All the neighbours in our Close exchange cards, and we post about 25.

Postage is prohibitive but I still like to send and receive cards. My children and grandchildren tend to send cards to older family members but not to each other or friends. I too dislike the round robins which are either bragging or detailing ill health issues. Just send good wishes in a card to show friends they are in your thoughts

I still send them - always charity cards. And I do like receiving them - as long as they don't contain any of those Round Robins that are one long brag. I crossed one family off the list a few years ago because of an extreme example of a RR brag.

I know a few people who've stopped sending them and say they're giving the money to charity instead. However they're all pretty well off and could afford to donate extra anyway if they wanted to, so I suspect it's really a case of CBA.

I send to a lot less than I used to, people I never have contact with at any other time were the first off the list and then the usual losses over the years. Then the postage started getting ridiculous, so now I only send about half a dozen.

My list keeps growing each year and I don't like to cross anyone off. I buy them in the January sales, they must be charity shop and religious. They spend the summer in a special box under the bed so I know where to find them. I keep a list on the computer and print it, and the address labels out in November. The only problem is the cost of the stamps!

Yes I do send cards but fewer and fewer each year and always a religious themed card. I like receiving them and any news within but not the 'Jocasta has had a marvellous year since she got into the Juilliard' kind of thing.

I love to get cards so I send them in the hope that others will reciprocate.

I still send them. I rather like choosing them, sending and receiving them. I am retired now, but when I was at work, some
people chose not to send them but to donate to charity instead. I buy most of my cards from a local childrens hospice charity so I am donating in a way.
