Sorry to answer and run.
I think I was pointed in the right direction by Elegran
So could I nominate Elegran for the next question please

I'm making dinner ATM, but does anyone fancy a game later? This thread seems to have disappeared into the ether and I quite enjoyed it.

wot Sat 03-Dec-16 17:17:54

Yes, I'm willing! Can't put up a clue though.

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 17:30:29

I've just come back to this thread after several days - I think I must have missed the post nominating me to post a clue, then the thread slipped off the radar.

Ok, here goes. This has two definitions (because it can mean two different things) One is animal, the other mineral. The animal definition is probably easiest to pursue, but the mineral one may come more readily to hand.

Linsco56 Sat 03-Dec-16 18:04:40

Is it an implement?

Ana Sat 03-Dec-16 18:15:03

Is it a household object?

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:16:27

It is in the house.
Implement - umm It depends what you mean by implement?

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:19:12

Implenemt - no, not kitchen implement (did you mean to ask that?)

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:19:30

18

Linsco56 Sat 03-Dec-16 18:23:46

No, I was keeping it wider but that's where I hoped it would take me grin

Linsco56 Sat 03-Dec-16 18:25:08

Could it be made of either leather or man made fibre?

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:27:57

No, 17. You leapfroged one there with the implemant, Linsco!

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:30:17

My spelling has gone to pot this evening.

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:31:43

That wasn't a clue, just an observation.

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:36:16

Where are wot and ana ?

Linsco56 Sat 03-Dec-16 18:36:36

Does it have a practical function within the home?

Linsco56 Sat 03-Dec-16 18:39:01

I know! Wot said she was up for it....if you know what I mean!

Ana Sat 03-Dec-16 18:47:15

I have asked a question already, you two! hmm (And you replied, Elegran grin)

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:49:47

Yes a practical function (one embodiment) 16
I know you asked earlier and I answered, but I thought you had deserted the sinking ship, ana

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:51:10

The other embodiment does NOT have a practical function in the house.

Ana Sat 03-Dec-16 18:52:34

It's not sinking, is it? Not yet anyway...

Hmm. So presumably it can be merely ornamental as well (that's not a question, just thinking out loud)

Is it usually found in one particular room in the house?

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:54:05

One embodiment is. The other could be anywhere.

Linsco56 Sat 03-Dec-16 18:54:23

Does it require power?

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:54:35

15

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 18:55:01

One of them requires power.
