Jeans or trousers that actually fit!

Ive bought the same trousers for years from the same company, the last lot I bought were terrible the material was very thin and the fit was awful. I emailed a complaint and the company said it was the manufacture that was at fault as the company use different factories to supply them and they all have different sizing!

So many different shapes, heights and sizes Antonia what fits me may not fit you!

I have just bought a pair from East. They were eye wateringly expensive and I was prepared to send them back, but they are a great fit. They come up to the waist therefore no muffin top. I look at it as one pair of expensive comfort equals two pairs of cheaper builder's bottom.

Hobbs have fabulous trousers - expensive but classics that will last and stay in shape.

John Lewis show their jeans according to 'rise' (!low , medium and high) , but if you think East is expensive youmkight have apoplexy when you see some of the prices!

Mine come from Landsend, that is because their drop-waist ones fit me comfortably round the waist. As Anya says, it all depends on your shape.

I have changed to Next for my trousers and jeans and found their fit is just right for me.

I've had several pairs of Diane Gilman jeans off the shopping channel and they fit very well.

Cari, all this 'over 50', 'over 60' categorisation. The older we get the more diverse we become, we just cannot be herded up and put in pens based on age.

For example, most of the jeans listed on your over 50 group are or would, on me, be a comfortable fit under the armpits, not because of my age but because I am very short between crotch and waist, always have been, always will be.

Marks and Spencer's high risers, are brilliant, I buy the jeggings and they fit well
