Nice pic Kitty smile, Gettingonabit, Dougal is a Rough Collie, twice the size of a Sheltie, and much heavier boned, having said that though, he is a little on the small side for a Collie, he was the runt of the litter( Poor Boy), not show standard , that mattered not a jot to us, we just wanted a pet, friend, and companion, and that is what we got...oh except for the day he bit my Husband quite badly which involved a trip to Aand E and a nasty infection....that is another story!!

He's beautiful!

What a handsome dog Shanma - I wish I was smart enough to put a photograph of my adorable dog Lottie on here. She is a jack russell/border terrier cross and very beautiful. But I have to be honest she has never been photographed with a toy on her head!

What a lovely chap Shanma! I loved the Buster story.

Our Sam has a black and white bear which we gacve him the day he arrived for some company and his name is Marmite. Sam never chews him and as soon as we pick Marmite up Sam gets in his bed as he knows we are either going out without him or its bedtime.

Where would we be without our doggy friends eh?

It makes you think of The Red Hat members doesn't it.

Lovely boy! Obviously the toy is his friend so he can be wherever he wants him.
It would make it much easier for GN meetups if we did wear soft toys on our heads. I remember at my first GN lunch walking past the restaurant several times and trying to guess if any of the other ladies of a certain age might be a Gran. Stressful!

What is he, shanma? A Sheltie? Collie?

He's gorgeous.

kittylester Wed 02-Nov-16 06:50:56

My eldest dgd obviously thinks having a soft toy on her head is the way to go. grin

What a lovely dog, shanma!

We need a photo, Roses grin. I have never heared of a Flat Eric ???

rosesarered Tue 01-Nov-16 23:47:08

Yes, I will start ,by going around with a small 'Flat Eric' on my head (I have 3 in differing sizes) you know, the yellow fluffy things much in vogue 20 years ago.

Shanma Tue 01-Nov-16 23:40:56

Thank You all. The toy on his head is " Buster", Buster has been Dougal's bedtime teddy since Dougal was ten weeks old. At night he tucks Buster into his beard and cuddles him in smile. Buster has had many trips to kennels, we don't send them anymore though as they are both a little old( In my opinion) to rough it a bit, mollycoddling is the order of the day now.

Roses, maybe we should all start then, having a toy on our heads, it could be a kind of initiation into GN grin

rosesarered Tue 01-Nov-16 23:08:11

Lovely dog Shan

rosesarered Tue 01-Nov-16 23:07:14

Why not have a toy on your head? Perhaps the world would be a sunnier place if we all went around with a soft toy on our heads ( and it would improve our deportment)grin

DaphneBroon Tue 01-Nov-16 22:30:40

And a lovely boy he is too! ?(Why does he have a toy on his head?? gringrin?)

Shanma Tue 01-Nov-16 21:20:53
