NanaandGrampy kitty and Lona the photos have put a big smile on my face. The children are adorable. The costumes (slightly scary) 
We watched a comedy/horror type drama last night. It really spooked me. I also noted the MacS looked slightly uneasy. Did anyone else watch it? It was about a haunted lighthouse somewhere in Scotland.
ann I shall not cease to remind you that us lot would be mightily relieved if you were to take the first step (discussing the problem you're battling with) that may very well make a huge difference to your quality of life. We do care. 
Wobblybits Ha! Those ducks seem to have taken a liking to you. On our honeymoon, we stayed in a lovely hotel at Lower Slaughter in the Cotswolds. When we awoke, we looked out of the window to watch a long convoy of ducks paddling along the stream. It was a special memory.
Daphne Those little boys must have raised a smile. Sugar overdose! Nah!
The poetry cheered up our pal in the care home. I've promised to search for a few more favourites. Each week we can add to his personal selection.
It's a perfect autumn day. Clear blue sky and just a hint of a chilly breeze.
My next door neighbour's little boys wore identical outfits to N&G's DGC. William, the elder is quite skinny so looked fine in his skeleton suit, but George (3ish) is shall we say, slightly roll poly (?) and fitted his pumpkin outfit rather snugly 
he looked much too sweet and cuddly to scare anybody.
Too many Haribos left over so DH and I (well mostly I) finished them off.

Good Morning all !
Its a grey dull day here ! I don't like winter much but love a good bright crisp autumn day but today isn't shaping up for that.
Today the will writing man is coming as we need to make new wills now we have retired . It should be quite straight forward ( I hope) but we had to have a discussion about who gets Sam Of course we plan on outlasting the little chap but best be prepared ( I wasn't a girl guide for nothing !!)
Then this evening its a few hours babysitting for our eldest 2 while Mummy and Daddy work. I am taking Miss Laura to karate . We are struggling on for a bit to try and regain her previous enthusiasm .
AND....look away now I'm going to use the C word...... I wrapped all my presents yesterday !! I am an early starter because I LOVE Christmas and everything about it and go totally overboard . So if I don't start early I couldn't get it all done in time ( or afford it ).
Ann hope your little walk out yesterday lifted your spirits a little.
Corner I think we only see ours usually as we have sweets lol but this time we did a quick supper and it was lovely to actually get time for a chat .
Right time to head off ( ps I loved the duck story WB ) sending you all cake, and a cuddle if needed !

wobbly the only time we had ducks anywhere near our room was in Milton Keynes, don't suppose you are there? If there's duck in the menu tomorrow best keep yours safe

ann please do consider what all your friends on here have suggested. If you don't get help you will become ill and then it may not work out the way you would have chosen. Your husband can't be the only person to say they don't want to go to a day centre, so I'm sure that they will be able to get round that problem.
When I was last visiting our pal in the care home, he asked did I know the words of the poem - 'Cargoes'...we then moved on to - 'I Remember,I Remember', 'The Listeners' and 'The Lake Isle of Innisfree. I've copied these poems and others out in large, bold print. He will enjoy reading through his own preferred selection. I can then add to it. Had I given him the book of poems, he would not have easily found what he wanted (he's had several strokes) and when he did, the print would have been too small for him to read.
I'm logging off until after the visit tomorrow. My thoughts are with all our Granspals in need of comfort.
Ann, just to say that, from my Alzheimer's sessions with carers, most people living with the disease say that they don't want to go to a day centre but love it when they do. The experience my friend had when someone came in and befriended her (very reluctant) husband, was that he loved having someone new to talk to. Please contact the Alzheimer's Society to see if they can suggest anything for your husband and at least come and see you. You deserve a life too! from me too.
Tegan We've relatives in Australia (Perth)...two of MacS's sisters and husbands and all the children and grandchildren. They wouldn't wish to live anywhere else. MacS would never even consider moving away from Scotland. Not even for a holiday.
