He was married to Katy Perry for a short while - apparently they split up because he was keen to have children and she wasn't...

This is OK magazine. I can't help thinking RB is taking the piss.
"Russell, who popped the question to fiancée Laura Gallacher recently, also opened up about his romantic proposal. And he admitted the emotional moment made him cry.
The 41 year old added: “I cried at my own beauty.

“You know when you think ‘I’m being so nice now, Oh God I think I’m going to cry’ because you’re impressed with how nice you are.
“I properly planned it and put proper ideas into it and made it all nice and did like a surprise party for her.
“Her mum helped me to organise it, get her on side!” "

As for his comments about the gender of his child, he sounds as though he is going to be a devoted Dad.
I didn't 'impose a gender' on any of my children either!

" How will this work then? "

It won't, will it? How ridiculous he is. I would go so far as to say that what he intends to do is actually child abuse.anyone else agree?

There was a story about a couple who did this with at least one of their kids, in Canada I think. I haven't seen anything about it since it was first mentioned in the press. Has anyone?

I think it's only people who completely align with "blank slatism" who'd consider this. As I understand it the blank slate idea is that all child development depends on nurture/environment and nothing on genes. Seems a bit simplistic to me.

Glad it isn't Russell Grant but not a bit surprised that Russell Brand comes out with something so foolish. He shouldn't be allowed to have children. I see that there is a mother, his fiancée, Laura Gallacher. So I hope she has more sense and that her opinion will prevail.

Was very surprised that Russell Grant would be doing such a thing. Brand however, that's a different story. Anything to keep his name in lights, after all he knows best doesn't he?

He's an idiot. You can't gender neutralise a child no more than you can impose a gender.

He'll give the child an odd name, never tell it whether its a boy or a girl, dress it in gender non specific clothes and offer it a range of toys. Some don't even tell their families whether the child is male or female. Basically he'll screw with the child's head until the child realises it's a boy or a girl and demands to be treated as such.

Oh, not Russell Grant then? Thought he was a bit old...

It wouldn't work because Brand's too much in the public eye and wouldn't be able to resist parading the poor child in front of the media at every opportunity.

How will this work? - it won't. Attention-seeking nitwit!

Russell Grant has said he is considering bringing up his new baby without imposing a gender .

I personally have never heard such rubbish in my life but maybe I'm the one out of step?

This is way beyond not offering gender specific clothes or toys - what are your thoughts ?
