Country and western song Daddy's Hands has me weeping "buckets" no matter how many times I hear it. Welling up here just thinking about it.

When a child is born by Johnny Mathis, he was my mums favourite singer, (she passed away, 6years ago this December,) the day she passed I had to get out of the house, got a bus in to Eccles town centre, and went into a charity shop, to see a friend, this song came on the radio, and I just cried, I can't listen to it now, by him, without the tears. X

Just reading these song titles and comments is bringing tears to my eyes
Music can bring back so many memories,
A Dozen Yellow Roses came for me today (can't remember the singer) always reminds me of my dad when he gave me a huge bunch of roses on my 21st (nearly 50 years ago)

I sang in a choir up until this year and one of the songs we sang at our concert was 'Run' by Leona Lewis. I would sing it with tears streaming down my face. It reminded me of the day I stood at the airport, saying goodbye to my son, who was emigrating to Australia. I didn't want to make a fool of myself at the concert so I tried to de-sensitise myself by listening to it and singing it over and over again. It worked - our Musical Director was chuffed to bits when she couldn't hear me sobbing all the way through the song.
On the day of the concert I smiled and sang the song with dry eyes - but our Musical Director was crying her eyes out !

"Slipping through my fingers" for me too, David 1968, not quite tears but a big lump in the throat.

Slipping through my fingers by Abba, but the one that gets me is John Denver singing "For You". Such beautiful lyrics. "Just to wake every morning with you by my side, just to offer a prayer each day for you"

She walked through the fair (Sting does good version) if memory serves.

The Green Fields of France says it all about the young lives lost through war and never fails to bring a tear to my eye.

Danny Boy. How this extremely mawkish Irish song ever manages to do it, but I cannot listen to it without tears flowing. I have an Irish Grandmother - perhaps that's why.

We played Love is Like a Butterfly at my mums funeral in April this year. She loved her music and this song just seemed so appropriate. It does bring the tears to my eyes but in a happy way.

Bette Midler's Wind beneath my Wings, always brings a lump to my throat, it was my wife's favourite song, and my wife was the wind beneath my wings.

I've never cried so much over a song as when my DD1 and her daddy (my late DH) danced at her wedding to 'I Loved her First' by Heartland.

Also since losing DH, 'I'll see you again' by Westlife, 'I would give everything I own' by Bread, amongst others, have brought me to tears.?
