Morning Mick, Morning All. Dark and damp in our corner of Somerset. We are forecast sun later, when I see it I will believe it! Busy sorting today, not restful but another step forward. Hope Sunday is kind to you.

Thought it was Saturday, that's disappointing, back to sleep

There was a star in the north-east just above the horizon when I woke. Jupiter is in the east but I can't see it. This day, this time, sixteen years ago, Minibags was less than two hours old.

Happy days, dudes.

Morning All

We couldn't see the super moon last night - too cloudy. But when I got up an hour ago I wondered how a headlight was shining through the bedroom curtains - a police helicopter looking for a baddie? The air ambulance trying to land on the car park opposite again? Nooo, an incredibly big bright moon!

Bits of high cloud and it's rather chilly but it is Autumn.

DGDog woke us a couple of times last night barking for no reason, I think he's missing his boy. DGS will arrive in a couple of hours. I'm not sure what we're going to do with them both. I think we'll have to stay in and do hand painting or similar and leave dog walking to DH as I've pulled a muscle in my back again (or re-pulled the one I did a couple of weeks back) and can't walk far.

Happy Sunday!

Morning all.
The day has started well. Beef stew in slow cooker, breakfast cooked! Now all I have to do is get ready to go to my induction in Newcastle. The cleaning company I work for has lost it's contract and a new lot have taken over. I wonder what's new in the cleaning world. confused. The sunrise here is beautiful. The Tyne Valley is a beautiful place.

Just to update you, its dull and wet here in Brackley now.

Morning all from North Leicestershire!

We had a glorious bright pink sky when I first woke up and, sure enough, it's throwing it down now.

Off to buy a new kitchen table this morning then refilling the bird feeders and planting a few bulbs. Roast spare rib of pork, cauliflower cheese and honey roasted carrots for lunch - at 6pm. confused

ninathenana Sun 16-Oct-16 08:12:03

Morning all.
We had a clear view of the harvest moon here Nfk. Even though it rained earlier and looks like we had more in the night.
Now just dull and damp.

PRINTMISS Sun 16-Oct-16 08:20:37

Good morning to you all from a very wet south coast, the washing was put on the line yesterday whilst it was fine, it rained when we were out, and so there is still a line of washing even wetter than when it started. Hey ho! Enjoy your days. where is Ann60?

kittylester Sun 16-Oct-16 08:26:26

Ann is around I think.

DaphneBroon Sun 16-Oct-16 08:31:24

Like the sound of that "lunch" kitty!
Good morning from a soggy soggy Bucks I'm glad I have no plans for venturing forth, but believe SIL is doing the Birmingham half marathon so I hope he has practised running in waders ☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️

It is so dark and miserable here in Letchworth this morning. The rain is pouring down and the sky seems low with the weight of the clouds. A foretaste of the winter me thinks!!!!

Greyduster Sun 16-Oct-16 08:37:13

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Dull but dry in South Yorkshire but rain is on its way. Going over to see GS playing footie this morning - always a pleasure, weather notwithstanding! This afternoon we are moving stuff out of the conservatory so that DH can put another coat of paint on the ceiling. Steak and kidney pud for lunch! Yum! Have a good day folks.

Wobblybits Sun 16-Oct-16 08:45:27

Good morning folks from a wet Tipree, we had our first decent rain for months last night.

whitewave Sun 16-Oct-16 08:49:16

Morning everyone

Rain!!!! First for goodness knows how long. Ground will get nice and soft to plant, so have decided to get the new plants rather than wait until spring. So have ordered, salvias, nepeta and lavender - all shades of blue to complement a bed of pink roses.

Last night dog needed a wee at 2.30 and the moon was glorious the whole garden bathed in a silver light -I became all Wordsworthy.

annsixty Sun 16-Oct-16 08:49:39

Good morning all and PRINTMISS.
Yes still around, but the wheels have started to come off in my life somewhat and I am struggling to rise above it. However I know I will. I always have before.
Dull and cold in Stockport, yesterday was nice again.

Nana3 Sun 16-Oct-16 08:56:37

Good morning.
Looking slightly damp in Lancashire but the pattern is brighter afternoons.
Couldn't get to sleep again, even after longish walk along prom in Lytham.
ann take care flowers
Have a good day everyone.

So much for the rain!! Bright sun now! Still must have done some good to the garden.

Pittcity Sun 16-Oct-16 09:46:14

Good morning from a wet Colchester. I have been out of action with a sickness bug since Friday night so am resting up on the couch today.

Judthepud2 Sun 16-Oct-16 10:11:37

Good morning Mick and everyone. We seem to be in the middle of a huge storm this morning. Gales and pouring rain. The Atlantic storms usually hit us first in N. Ireland. So dark, I have the lights on in the house. The trees are losing their leaves fast.

Dog is looking balefully out and wondering if it is worth the usual demands for a walk. I have told her there is no chance. Rather wish I was back in bed.
???

Good Morning All. Rain from the east was beating on my kitchen window earlier. There is some blue sky now. The forecast suggest thunderstorms later on. We do need some useful amount of rain around here though.

Anniebach Sun 16-Oct-16 10:23:37

It isn't raining in Wales, blue sky and sunshine , good morning all

Greyduster Sun 16-Oct-16 12:51:16

PS: Well, we knew it was going to rain this morning, but not quite how much. We stood on the touch line this morning, cheering manfully (and womanfully) while our little lads slid about in a sea of mud trying to stay upright! I did wonder at half time, as the rain trickled down my neck, whether we were taking this supportive grandparent thing to extremes. The score? Let's not go there!
