Was it an ordinary email or a Gransnet PM (private message)? If he joined as a member he could have sent you a PM (which you should report to GN if it worries you)

Someone reading this forum should not be able to access your e-mail address, if they can there is a breach of privacy.

Just incase you didn't read my addition to they come and go.
Has anyone else received an email from a chap, (who did apologies for using this website),asking if they had offsprings who live in far off shores, i.e. Oz or NZ and who want a reunion with them.
As he is hoping to do a documentary on this subject, giving all the details. Rather cheeky I thought coming on here.
