Morning Mick, morning All. Seems very dark so I am assuming heavy cloud, can't really see but it is dry right now. Furniture moving and the supermarket today via a charity shop drop off. Exciting times. grin. Hope Friday is kind to you.

Morning Mick, morning all!

It's cold and cloudy in North Leicestershire. Doctor's this morning, then chopping veg for DS1 and visit to mum!

DS and DH are going to the football tonight so I will have the house to myself - bliss!

Had a lovely afternoon with a fellow gransnetter yesterday - it involved tea and cake and a good catch up!

Good morning Mick and everyone.
Friday already and almost half way through October, how time flies.
Twilight here in Lancashire too but our days are still dry and sunny.
2DGC staying overnight as usual on Friday. A visit to Mum later who will be asleep.
Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Hearing of the sad local news of another dog attack.
We are having a pottering day. DH is going out with some of our neighbours tonight to celebrate next door but one's retirement, they are calling it a boy's night grin

Morning, folks! I slept in. Mainly because I was awake knitting and listening to a Vaughan Williams Oboe piece in the early hours. MiniB slept in too so she had to get up and scoot. No way was I driving her to school this morning. To be fair, I've only had to once because of her missing the school bus. There was another time she missed the bus and had to get the service bus (car wasn't available) round the loch and then walk two miles in the pouring rain. She left her sodden new coat somewhere at school to rot. It had cost £70 (MrB bought it; I wouldn't have paid that much; he was being kind). I made her pay it back. Tough love, huh (like our parents did with us)? It works though. She doesn't try to "take advantage".

The spell of bonfire weather is over. It's raining. Painting of woodwork in the kitchen will continue.

Good morning to you all from a very dull south coast, and it is chilly, winter draws on as they say! Off to the opticians with the o.h. today, this will be the decider as to whether or not his eyesight is good enough to drive, we shall see. Enjoy your days.

Morning all.
Fairly bright in N Kent at the moment but not set to last.
Our usual Friday food shop and coffee this morning.

Morning!

Bit late as out with friends last night for a meal.

Dull and chilly but still no rain
. Planting up a shady area with Geranium pheum and Jacobs ladder this morning.
Waiting for some asters to finish before moving them and then moving some phlox in their place. The asters "little carlow" will tolerate quite a bit of shade and I'm hoping the phlox will be just as accommodating.
Stated a cold so won't go near Mum today. Just get her shopping and Dh will deliver.

Have an excellent day!

Good morning Michael and all GNs. A nice bright day in South Yorkshire. Nothing much planned except shopping today. Have a good one, folks.

Good morning everyone.
It rained heavily during the night but has stopped now and the sky is clearing. I may be by myself for a lot of today as DH promised his sister that he would go and do some gardening for her. Quiet day for me then, just some light housework to catch up on, and more crochet crafts for DD.
Have a great day everyone.

Another calm autumn morning, though it the forecast is right, it may be the last day of this fine spell. It's an incentive for me to get the rest of the bulbs into their pots. I will have to force my way through the jungle to the bottom of the garden and hack some branches off the overgrown shrubs. Could do with a machete.
