Favourite snacks

I was just musing with a friend about favourite snacks. I don't mean mini meal type snacks but snacks pure and simple (so add-ons rather than actual meals)

I eat pretty healthily but snacks are my downfall. I try to limit them but sometimes I just have to have a bag of crisps or a chocolate bar. Favourites include Walkers cheese and onion and for the sweet stuff Maltesers, Galaxy and Dime bars. What are yours?

Lindt blueberry intense. I could eat it all day... they've also just brought out a coconut version as well which is delish. Oh, and anything with pastry and melted cheese!

Its fruit only for me in between meals as I am forever trying to lpose weight- sometimes if I am very hungry a piece of ham or an oatcake- BORING!!!I love crisps!!

Just can't eat any of those very sweet palm-oil sickly chocolates. In the evenings it has to be 3 squares, sometimes 3, of 70% dark chocolate. Often Lindt with a touch of salt.

During the day- fruit but not too much due to sugar. A small handful of toasted almonds is bliss- and good for you too.

I just make sure I do not have a pack of Bretzels opened anywhere- or I'll polish the lot.

Try to eat apples as a snack but want to eat chocolate or cake any kind will do grin I don't buy it because I can't resist it. Trouble is OH does so I do sneak a piece of his cake/chocolate.

I'll sound very virtuous, but I hardly ever eat between meals, mainly because I have a dental plate, food gets lodged around it and I have to take it out and brush my teeth. I do have coffee etc though, and sometimes a few nuts or dried fruit. We keep dishes of dried fruit and nuts out on the sideboard.
I'm not hungry either, until just before the next meal.

Anything edible I can lay my hands on usually, preferably savoury. Like Teetime I have a weakness for crisps and have had to stop buying them. I buy mixed nuts so that I can have a few, but DH will sit and scoff a whole bag if I don't watch him, so not only am I having to think about my waistline I am having to think about his. He also buys dark chocolate which is good because I don't like it, but on Saturday I bought a box of Florentines from Aldi so that we could have them with coffee when DD came to lunch. She had a couple, DH had a couple - and suddenly, there was an empty box! How on earth did that happen??? blush

Marmite crisps are my downfall, there were supposed to be a limited edition which suited me fine, they were so popular, they're still in production, I have a packet every day! I love Maltesers and chocolate buttons and Haribo jelly babies, but limit myself to sweets only once at the weekend.

I go for nuts, or cut a chunk of cheese off, especially if it's fresh.

Don't really like chocolate, especially not the kind in chocolate chip cookies.

Also love dried fruit - especially coconut, but also pineapple and candied ginger.

I try to keep off the sweets - if I start I have to finish the packet!

I forgot to add - husband loves ice cream cornets, we always have a few boxes in the freezer, different flavours.

Pork scratchings! They are perfect for LCHF way of eating! I allow myself one small packet a week.
