Child suicide

So terribly sad

My GD went from her primary svhool with about 200 pupils to one with 1700 and a huge physical area. Some children can cope with this but others can't.

I have no words. Those poor parents.

My Gd just went to secondary school and they have pulled out all the stops to make them welcome and integrate the year groups. How awful after so short a time. I do feel he may have been a troubled boy in other ways.

Tragic.

School can be a cruel place - that poor lad.

Their are material things that we want, I can remember people not locking their doors, because their was nothing to steal.

I've just read and seen the pictures, I'm crying, this world is bad.

So sad. You just don't know what goes on in their heads. Always
listen if they express any worries, the poor Mum and family.

I wish in this day of social media, there were a online place where they could go to actually tell about bullying that has happened to them, and where they might get support and advice. Not sure if it would work, but hate to think so many are suffering.

Family life as we knew it has broken down, little ones are put in nurseries for mothers to return to work. So much emphasis on material things .

I was thinking exactly the same merlot . My DGD (10) has a mobile phone ( not my idea) and My DDiL tells me she checks it regularly .

Sadly it's not just playground bullying. The internet has a lot to answer for.

What are we doing to children, this little chap was in such despair , children are now self harming, suffering anxiety and depression

This is gut wrenching. How deeply unhappy and desperate he must have been at such a young age, the poor chap.

Unbelievable and terribly sad.

I agree about schools having all these anti bullying policies but actually putting them into action seems to be very hit and miss.

I wonder what the school are saying?

Most schools will say they have very strict anti bullying measures firmly in place. This is a joke. Out of the building they have no control at all and this includes the playgrounds.
I speak from recent experience. My GD had to be removed from her comprehensive as she was so unhappy. She has a cleft lip and was considered fair game.

If its anything like the ones I've seen, the school bullying policy is lots of words on paper but with absolutely no carry over into practice. That poor, poor child. His family will be devastated. So sorry.

I can't conceive of an 11 year old doing that. Tragic.

That is so sad, can't begin to understand how the boy must have felt. His family must be going through hell. It must be so hard to try and come to terms with someone committing suicide, even more so if it's a child.

Poor lamb. I can't begin to imagine how a child of 11 would reach the stage of no hope in life.
