DaphneBroon Mon 17-Oct-16 09:09:11

And this is Grace in her raincoat

Charleygirl Mon 17-Oct-16 09:05:50

roses Grace is a greyhound with not a lot of fur so she feels the cold and certainly the rain. She needs to be protected in cold and wet weather. Also she is not in her first flush of youth so probably feels the cold more than her mum.

ann good luck today- with luck you will be sent home with no further injections at least this month.

DaphneBroon Mon 17-Oct-16 09:05:22

Sorry, that was to rosesarered!

DaphneBroon Mon 17-Oct-16 09:04:39

Yes Ann 60
Greyhounds have very thin hair and wear raincoats if wet and need warm coats when it turns cold!
This is a back view in her walking coat(waterproof and furry lined)

Morning all !

I'm off to meet a friend from uni this morning to catch up on the news and gossip! So looking forward to that.

No storms here Daphne - which is a shame because I love a good storm ( not out in it of coursesmile.Yours sounds like a doozie !!

Charlie I love a good organise and books are a plus in a home for me. Tells you something about the reader I think...looking at your books what do they say about you ? smile

Galen hopefully the errant stair lift is sorted soon !!

Busy week for me this week so I shall head off.

Happy day to you all x

rosesarered Mon 17-Oct-16 09:01:07

daphneB you say you both had raincoats..... you and the dog?grin
A week of doctor /hospital/dental appontments for us ( what fun) I also have a new sore throat and cough ( as opposed to the old one which only went away last week.)
Am in need of a good cup of tea and lemon drizzle cake ( which is why I'm here in Soops kitchen) no cake or anything nice in the house.

annsixty Mon 17-Oct-16 08:58:19

Thank you Daphne I am very hopeful that the PDT I had a few months ago is working as I haven't had an injection since June. Happy days.

A dramatic bedtime walkie had us beating as hasty a retreat as the pins can manage (mine, not Grace's) We had just reached the second "corner" (of what is a square walk) when there was a massive flash of lightning, huge thunderclap and as they say, the heavens opened. Luckily we both had raincoats on, but the rain/hail was "Stotting" up off the road and pavement and an inch or so deep within a couple of minutes. Two more flashes and thunderclaps before we made it home. She is normally terrified of thunderstorms but seemed more bothered by the lashing rain. Strangely it stopped within the half hour and there was no more rain (or thunder)
As the evening's business was somewhat curtailed though, I expected a disturbed night but only needed to get up to let her out once around 2.
Wishing you all some sunshine today, including less buggeration for Galen maybe a happier experience of Amazon, a reassuring report on the new baby and a positive outcome for ann60 's eye appointment.

Soop I hear that Bracken is getting more and more adventurous with coming into your house. She will be "Home by Christmas" at this rate.

annodomini Sun 16-Oct-16 22:55:04

When I moved in here 16 years ago, I envisaged a minimalist home with a place for everything and everything in its place.hmm Some hope! Notebooks, newspapers, pens and pencils all over the place; phones and remote controls proliferating; laundry waiting to be ironed... and that's just one room. Can't even get at the dust!

Charleygirl Sun 16-Oct-16 22:16:26

N&G you would die if you came to my house- I have so many books. The only rooms without books are the downstairs loo and the bathroom.

Also the word "file" has not reached my vocabulary yet.

DaphneBroon Sun 16-Oct-16 20:59:25

Sorry kitty didn't mean to patronise you! But I had wondered if you thought he was on a drip. Also having seen Flynn's cannula which was tiny too, I didn't see it as a problem, but as a solution
I hope your mind has been put at rest with reassuring news from the hospital.
Do we have a name? Weight? When will you get to see him?

Galen Sun 16-Oct-16 20:22:14

I know!

kittylester Sun 16-Oct-16 20:18:14

Galen, you need some time off to get your life in order.

Daphne, I know that the doctors administer the antibiotics via a canula, I'm just in awe of their ability to put one in such a small person.

Soop, we didn't buy the table on eBay - my reference was to the fact that I persuaded DH to buy one. I couldn't persuade him that the chairs were a good buy so a trip to Ikea looks as though it is on the cards!

The reason I didn't get a reply from my brother was that they were 'babysitting' so DN and her husband could go out for a walk. Everyone is due home on Wednesday. Phew!! Thank you all for your support!

NanaandGrampy Sun 16-Oct-16 18:03:05

Galen my fingers are itching to get your things organised and away smile

Galen Sun 16-Oct-16 17:12:57

I'm Sagittarius and a little OCD

wot Sun 16-Oct-16 17:05:08

I'm a Leo too.

Charleygirl Sun 16-Oct-16 16:57:14

soop never mind people dropping in, I will be moving in because your cats get 3 meals a day where as I have an evening meal.

I have my hard hat on, I am a Virgo and perfect.

soop Sun 16-Oct-16 16:56:20

I am about to vacuum the carpets. All two of them. After which I shall read the Sunday papers.

Thank you for your company. Enjoy a peaceful Sunday evening. smile moon

soop Sun 16-Oct-16 16:54:20

that should have been mind, not minds...

soop Sun 16-Oct-16 16:53:23

Who in their right minds worries about dust. I gave up worrying last Monday. Well, to be honest, I have, with gay abandon, flicked a feather duster over the most eye catching surfaces. One never knows who might drop in...wink

Charleyg Aren't lions magnificent. I'm a Leo. Just saying.

Galen Sun 16-Oct-16 16:52:29

It's not dust! It's things not put away. A dining table covered with piles of file ( work)
Bedroom which is absolute chaos and I haven't the energy to sort it all out!

Charleygirl Sun 16-Oct-16 16:42:27

No, that lion is marginally more than 4kg! Also the wrong colour, size, coat and expression!

I am amazed that your stair lift is still not sorted to your satisfaction- that is a major buggeration.

I would not worry about dust, it will be there when you have shuffled off this mortal soil. You have to look after yourself and if that means saying no to work, so be it.

Galen Sun 16-Oct-16 16:30:55

charlie does Taralook like this?

wot Sun 16-Oct-16 16:25:13

Don't feel sorry for moaning.....you've got just cause!! ??
