Very happy bunny here. Got back from my appt at 7pm, no injection again and the consultant was really pleased with the progress of the improvement in my eye and doesn't want to see me for 12 weeks. How I wish everyone's problems would have such a good outcome.

Galen wouldn't it be more satisfying to bang a stairlift engineer's head against a brick wall?

Just attempted our 6 year old GS pre sats test, failed miserably, didn't even understand some questions.

The saga of the stairlift continues.
When I rang the company last week about it, I was very clear that the only day I'm in this week is Thursday!

I get home tonight to find a message on my answerphone to say an engineer will be calling tomorrow!

Off to find a brick wall to bang my head against!

I am trying desperately to organise bedding for Bracken Nellie but it keeps falling on deaf ears in Kintyre!!!

soop and MacS should perhaps be on the look out because two gorgeous cats could easily take over their bed and be extremely comfortable there!

Mrs P and I got appointments through today for physio in 3 weeks, not bad for NHS. Fingers crossed it helps.

I shall report back to the kitchen after tomorrow's visit to the Care Home Ladies.

DaphneB my little joke fell flat.... I really thought it was you and your DH wearing raincoats ( the way I read the post) so was joking about the dog wearing one, and of course, it turns out that it really was! and very smart she looks too, in fact, a great deal better than myself in a raincoat.

Flynn has been to Paris for the weekend on Eurostar with his mummy and daddy, staying in PILS tiny flat near the Gare du Nord.
I think he enjoyed it, including the train journey

soop are you organising a party when Bracken moves in?!!!!! As I said before, she will be well settled by Christmas with a comfortable chair, a throw over it for day time. Has Rory taken to a cat bed or is he like Tara- decides each night where is the most comfortable- usually but not always my bed. He is attracted to the hot water bottle and it is comical watching him turn as if on a spit when one side is warm enough.

If you read all of the blurb about Virgoans we are all perfect.

millymouge Sweep was captured by one of the vets. He had to be sedated. Just as well, as he would have caused some serious harm. He had cat flu. He was treated with antibiotics for what seemed like an age. Cost a great deal of money. Returned home looking almost normal and most def a great deal slimmer. Within in a month, he introduced us to a kitten (sheltering under shrubs in the garden). The kitten also came indoors. Kingswear station yard was home to a feral cat commune. Much like the feral cat commune that existed in the forest here in Kintyre. The Campbeltown Cat Protection League help people to trap those that can be trapped. The cats are neutered and returned to the forest. Rory was the alpha male (at one time) he's now Rory gonnaballs of Kintyre.

DaphneBroon I know what you mean about greyhounds and coats. My two hounds have a marvellous selection of coats, they even wear them at night in the winter. The big fellow refuses to go out in the rain if he doesn't have a coat on. My little old girl certainly does feel the cold now and needs keeping warm.
soop oh dear I did have to smile at the story of Sweep going to the vets and escaping. I wonder if you ever got him back.

My Sophie won't wear a coat even though she hates rain!

anno I too had a wayward dream concerning a minimalist home. No way could I progress beyond thinking how pleasant it would be. I love my clutter/treasures. It's who we are. Too late for me to change my crazy ways. The clutter stays.

DaphneB The walk in the mini storm certainly sounds dramatic. Grace looks extremely elegant in her posh raincoat. A man in the village has a rescued Greyhound. She has several smart coats.

rosesarered We had the flu jags last week. MacS is fine. Like you, I have a sore throat. Your cough seems very stubborn. Has the GP listened to your chest?

Bellasnana It's lovely you have you back with us lot. When I read the account of Buzz's visit to the vet, I knew exactly how you were made to feel - (Buzz had an excuse) the receptionist needs to learn to be a little more diplomatic. I took a feral cat to the vet (umpteen years ago) his name was Sweep. He was enormous with an oddly misshapen jaw. He looked rough. He was tough. I had him in a stout cardboard box. On entering the waiting room, there was an almighty scrabble from within the box and the bottom opened...Sweep charged around a very small space and terrorised a little "lap dog"...the owner of which kept shrieking...get him off...at the same time, she flicked a wee lace hankie in Sweep's face. He didn't see the funny side. He charged through the door when someone walked in and went berserk in thick shrubbery. Oh dear!

Good afternoon, dear kitcheners. I would like to thank you all for your kind messages of support. I'm gearing up for the journey to Kent on Thursday for my beloved sister's funeral on Monday. Needless to say, I'm dreading it, especially walking into her house without her being there.

I'm so sorry to read of the various worries and goings-on whilst I've been out of the kitchen. Galen I can really empathize about having a mess everywhere as my bedroom, currently housing DD2 and DGD, is full of their clutter plus my clutter which still has to be unpacked since moving in months ago. It does get you down, doesn't it. Still, you have your cruise to look forward to when you can put all these irritations behind you. Hope the lift gets sorted.

Took Buzz, my adopted Sicilian stray, to the vet this morning. He has some sort of allergy which causes constant itching, he also needed his nails clipping, and something to stop him eating his own poo
Although very well behaved at home, the excitement of seeing other dogs, cats and a rabbit made him disgrace himself by woofing loudly at all and sundry. I received a telling off from the receptionist, a rather formidable lady who has the power to make one feel like a naughty schoolgirl
We are now home, complete with medication, and Buzz is asleep as if butter wouldn't melt. Good thing I love him to bits.❤️

Daphne Grace has almost as many outdoor clothes as I have and they look great on her- may I move in please? You would never have to worry about dog sitting.
