dustyangel Fri 21-Oct-16 17:37:04

wink

dustyangel Fri 21-Oct-16 17:36:23

I'm spending 10 days visiting DDs 1 and 2. Today was the first that I didn't have an early start and guess what? Visitors instead! Never mind it was good to see them and catch up with their news.

I'm hoping that our garden which was dry and brown when I left will have turned green again by the time I get back.

DGS is working abroad at the moment and his lovely girlfriend has admitted to dining with another while he is is away. shock

Tizliz Fri 21-Oct-16 17:32:40

Wouldn't this be wonderful

soop Fri 21-Oct-16 17:14:48

bags grin that made me chortle.

Bellanonna Yes, I see what you mean about the giraffe-like neck. She was being coy.

Tizliz Def get someone else to clear those leaves.
"Your dogs"...hmm Okay, they are getting used to new neighbours. It is their prerogative.
As for that Master Mind type question...Nah...I don't know nuffink...
I had a freshly cooked scone with blackberry jam at lunchtime. T'was in the Royal in Campbeltown. I ate every crumb. wink

Charleyg It's been a very pleasant day. No ferocious Campbeltown wind. Plenty of sunshine.

Our kichen opened on the 25th of September. It won't be too long before we'll need to open another. Get baking and I shall sort out the bunting.

Tizliz Fri 21-Oct-16 16:37:25

DB oh yes, especially on the gravelled drive. How can they change the colour of their poo to suit the background?

The weather here is lovely again. Much better than in the summer.

thatbags Fri 21-Oct-16 16:36:32

Thanks, charleyg, but I have enough trouble using up ends of loaves as it is because Mini and Mister are toerags! ?

Charleygirl Fri 21-Oct-16 16:32:38

You can have each and every one of my ends of loaves- I throw them out- I know thatbags that is heresy.

soop the deer is lovely- is she just being nosy?

It is chilly here today- I have had the heating on for ages. I am going to get a nasty shock when winter arrives.

thatbags Fri 21-Oct-16 16:28:40

db, sometimes I do (sometimes even the night before I'm going to eat it) but just occasionally she gets there before me. I suppose I need to stop unreasonably expecting people to use up the end of the last loaf!

DaphneBroon Fri 21-Oct-16 16:25:15

Tizliz my problem (and maybe one of yours) is distinguishing between a soggy leaf and a doggy poo in the minutes nanoseconds afforded before finding out by stepping on it sad

Tizliz Fri 21-Oct-16 16:19:06

soop it is my dogs that are behaving badly! I have rested today - well my body though my brain is about to blow, can't sort out my computer problem. Anyone have experience of Heidenhein TNC151 control to pc? Don't knock me over in the rush grin. Any cake going?

Tizliz Fri 21-Oct-16 16:14:56

This is what my lawn looks like and there are so many more leaves to fall. But no more raking at the moment, have to see if I can get the leaf blower working.

Bellanonna Fri 21-Oct-16 15:57:02

soop. I love all your pictures. The deer is lovely, though it took me a while to work out the second pic. She seemed to have a long, thin, giraffe-like neck! Then my eyes fell into focus.

soop Fri 21-Oct-16 15:46:09

DaphneB I went to bed thinking...heck, I hope that Teddy belongs to kitty's family (and not another Granspal's). Sometimes I get a bit befuddled. hmm

millymouge Your sister certainly made a fine job of testing the durability of her last phone. I like patient people. My husband has the same temperament.

wot and Jalima Yesterdays on-line shenanigans almost sent me into orbit. All day long stuff was being either lost from the screen or...worse still, stuff I had no interest in was trying to attract my attention.

We returned home to find the deer at the garden fence. Here are a couiple of photos.

Tizliz Try to rest that shoulder. Another few days of relaxation won't do any harm.
The neighbour's dogs will settle down eventually. A new home can be unsettle animals (or so I'm told.)

soop Fri 21-Oct-16 15:31:49

bags Minibags is a very imaginative young lady. Now that MacS bakes bread, I've also taken a liking to a wedge of warm crust slathered in real butter. What's a girl supposed to do when faced with real temptation...

DaphneBroon Fri 21-Oct-16 15:28:26

Why don't you just cut yourself a slice or the heel, thatbags?

soop Fri 21-Oct-16 15:26:14

kitty Woop woop! xxx

thatbags Thu 20-Oct-16 20:04:09

Welcome home, Teddy! Doting grandads are rather sweet, I think smile

We (Minibags and I) have solved a problem today. She cuts piffling little skinny heels off the ends of loaves and, since I eat them and like them thick, I've been trying to get her to thicken them up. Today she had a brainwave: she'll just cut the loaves in half and work her way out. That will increase my chances of getting a thick crust by an order of magnitude, I reckon. Phew. ??

DaphneBroon Thu 20-Oct-16 19:47:36

Doh!! I think you said so way back. Amnesia strikes again blushblush

kittylester Thu 20-Oct-16 19:35:30

Glad you are a bit better Tizliz.

The baby is Theodore - Teddy - Daphne! And I've just had 12 more photos!!

Jalima Thu 20-Oct-16 19:30:15

I can't seem to post today either.
Well, I am convinced now that it is GN!!

At least I didn't rush out and buy a new computer today .....

She unfortunately dropped the other one from the top of the house,
shock was she sitting on the roof millymouge?

Tizliz Thu 20-Oct-16 19:09:55

soop unfortunately an anti-inflamatory and a pain killer and a long chat to our new neighbours sorted out my shoulder. It is a bit sore and I can only take an occasional nsai as they upset me. I have a computer problem to sort out at work tomorrow so that will keep me quiet.

It is strange having immediate neighbours. The house next door has been empty since we moved here 11 years ago. They seem nice, just have to keep the dogs quieter - the other two neighbours are farther away and deaf!!

wot Thu 20-Oct-16 19:09:16

I can't seem to post today either.

millymouge Thu 20-Oct-16 18:20:17

IT has taken 4 trips to the local mobile phone shop to get Sister a working mobile phone. She unfortunately dropped the other one from the top of the house, where it hit everything on the way down, and DH has made 4 trips to get another. They didn't have any in stock to start with and then because we wanted to keep her original number that has caused problems. I like her to have one then she can keep it in her pocket at all times. This afternoon he came back from the shop happy with everything sorted, thank goodness. He is an extremely patient man smile

DaphneBroon Thu 20-Oct-16 17:38:33

??. smile. Does he have a name kitty?
