Latest update...MacSporran was seated in his chair, reading the paper and occasionally looking out to sea. When he turned around, guess what...Rory AND Bracken were sitting together on the low coffee table. 
Bracken vacated her perch as MacS approached. He thought it was hilarious.

Every time I casually wander into our kitchen, I'm floored by the amount of comings and goings. There is always a batch of updates for me to read and reply to. You lot are lovely people. I shall therefore attempt to catch up.

Lona Of course you worry about your daughter's problems and setbacks. If she's taking antidepressants, perhaps her GP could reassess her state of mind and maybe change the dose, or the type, in order to help her through her on going sadness.
Wobblybits My son is 55. Mind you, he has the same spirited sense of fun as a teen. Not all the time. But when Leicester City became Premier League Champions, he went into meltdown. He's since recovered.

dusty Had my husband behaved as yours did, I would immediately have thought TIA and rang for assistance. Good grief, his innards must have been stunned by the amount of medication coming their way. I hope that his system recovers asap.
Tizliz Modern technology is both a blessing and a bother. Throughout yesterday, my mobile was receiving text messages. As I'm none too savvy, I couldn't understand why my responses refused to go. It wasn't until this morning that I understood the reason for the backlog. My pay as you go, had no funds...zilch...any child would have worked that out in a trice. 
Charleyg Rory and Bracken are lolling in the sunshine. Rory grooms her to within an inch of her life (when he can be bothered) and she loves it.
Yesterday's rainbow is for all of you who need a special hug.
Am pleased to say that sister now has another carer coming in the afternoon which does help, and she likes the lady which is good. We feel that in time it will probably have to extend to the evening but for now it is a help. She varies so much from day to day mentally, yesterday before ŵe left she was quite muddled, another day she will be quite clear. She is always in quite a lot of pain from the arthritis in her back, neck and shoulder and doesn't always sleep well which doesn't help. I did feel rather bad going yesterday but DH said we had to go. When we come back I have to get her to a dentist to get a tooth removed, she is on Warfarin so have taken her for tests before it is done. Hope it goes off alright and we don't get too much bleeding. Thank you for listening.

You do seem to have lots of good times with your family, I don't know where you get all that energy.

My little gd stayed with me last night so my eardrums are sore now, but it's lovely to hear her laugh and giggle while we are playing football in the sitting room!!!

Lona you must worry about her terribly. We never stop do we as Mums? It must be very hard for her too, I can imagine how she must feel day after day. I'm VERY lucky in that I don't think I've ever suffered from depression but for those that do it must seem like a dark cloud.

Had a lovely time with my 2 last night ( apart from a perfectly revolting peanut butter based cocktail - which I told them would be disgusting and was ! Grampy was taxi driver and its true what they say , if you're the only sober person there the others are not funny !!
Today we're expecting all 4 of the grandkids for lunch and a discussion about next week as are away to Forest Holidays in Norfolk for 5 days with our eldest daughter and the 9 year old and 7 year old. Lots of outdoor fun to be had.
I'll pop in wifi permitting to catch up with you all, but hope its a quiet week for those who have been stretched to the limit and some good health wishes coming your way xx

Thank you NandG for the offer, I wish I could wave a magic wand. It seems that every time she picks herself up, something comes along to knock her down again. She has been incredibly strong but is on a lot of anti depressants, and has had counselling. I worry that one of these days it will all be too much. It's been several years now.
Daphne thank you for your concern about DH. He is on a lot of medication (including statins and daily aspirin) and was also very dehydrated. I am worried about TIAs and shall check with his doctor next week if he needs to see him.
This proxy Gran enjoys all doings and photos of other people's family. I was going to put GC there but I'm including pets. And not just the well behaved ones.
TizLiz I'm not a wimp really. I've decided that as long as I have gloves and warm socks and the temperature is above 6 or7 degrees I can cope. Alright, I probably am a wimp.

DB modern technology saves us SO much time
Dustyangel we got to the dizzy heights of 10 degrees today but it is nice and sunny. Actually September has been quite nice and for a change the garden is ready for winter - grass cut, edges trimmed and pruning/trimming done - I am usually looking out the window at the rain at long grass all winter. I have even picked up 5 bags of leaves (not all today)
