How much to have a pair of boots resoled?

I had my favourite shoes reheeled at Timpsons last year. It cost me about eight pounds I think. Debenhams used to have a place that did shoe repairs and key cutting and stuff, but they seem to have let that go now, though we have an independent department store here with a shoe repair kiosk. Timpsons is your best bet.

If you like them and they are comfy no price is too much, unless you can buy the exact pair again.

There are Timpsons all over the country, but here in our small town we have 'The Village Cobbler' whom I would much rather use. He invisibly mended one of my sandals where a strap had come adrift. I can't remember how much he charged but it certainly wasn't more than £5. He also does watchstraps, watch batteries and key cutting.

Our local Timpson store does shoe repairs, engraving, key cutting etc. £14 last winter to have my boots reheeled and resoled in heavy duty, non-slip rubber.

First find a shoe mender ! Haven't seen one in years !
