Always done it that way thought it was the normal way to do it

I pretty much struggle to get stretchy bra type top on even when I haven't had a sauna Tegan. Have you tried stepping into it and pulling it up? When I pull it on over my head it all rolls up and it is so difficult to sort out.

Never considered doing it any other way!

Not the same thing I know but, when I've had a sauna I find it so difficult to put my dry clothes back on again no matter how much I seem to have dried myself. What is there about clothes and slightly damp skin ? Struggled for ages the other day with trying to put a stretchy bra type top on the other day; pretty much had to wrestle with it.

I swim 2/3 times a week,never occurred to me to do this,must try next time lol.

I was always taught to go before I put on my costume and went swimming. Then I don't like sitting around in a wet costume anyway. If it isn't warm enough to dry my costume in less than half an hour I would be stripping it off anyway. If it's dry it doesn't really matter. Sorry but your friend might be a bit whiffy if she had been a couple of times and dribbled a bit.

I go swimming regularly and I also sideswipe - have never had a problem.

Take a shewee in your swimbag and then you won't get the wet hands problem. Putting it less delicately, side swipe and shewee shove does the trick

I've heard of 19C women in crinolines standing still with legs apart (no knickers then) A pair of drawers, when they came in, were just that, two separate legs tied on round the waist, so they would be pullasideable.

I also heard of a 19C man (I think an author, but can't remember who) who claimed he was traumatised right into his adult life because as a boy his mother had done this while out walking somewhere with him, and the embarrassment caused him untold mental anguish! Self-obsessed little sod, giving birth to him was probably what made her need to go at once, with no public loos for women and home a long way away!

Would never have occurred to me and don't think I could manage it safely. Don't often have the wet swimsuit problem (not much of a swimmer, too scared), but it's still difficult when you are hot.

One disadvantage of wearing my 'boyleg' costume is that I can't do the pulling aside thing. I therefore have to do the rolling down action, which does work.

I mean I haven't tried it with Thai trousers. Swimsuit yes, natch.

In Thailand, rural women wearing the traditional wide trousers do the same. No, I haven't tried it. Mr Bags reckons rural women wearing saris in India just stand still somewhere with legs apart. He said he used to see loads of men peeing but never a woman so that was his theory.

Yes suzied a tankini is definitely the answer. Not sure about pulling the costume to one side though. I don't think I could do that successfully if you know what I mean

Pull it far enough to one side, no wee on hands or swimsuit. Easy peasy.

I think the answer is to roll the wet cozzie down, rather than pull it, IYSWIM.

The other option is a tankini, you can easily wear one as underwear on holiday.
