Right. I'm gonna start this pile of ironing now. Could no one please put anything interesting on Gransnet for the next couple of hours. It's got to be done.

My motto is - if it needs ironing wear a jumper over it

Anya Wed 07-Sept-16 14:19:36

Too late it was deleted while you were busy jingl

gillybob Wed 07-Sept-16 14:01:31

nah.... Just open a cupboard door and throw it all in.

Which brings me to my second motto.

Out of sight out of mind. (this only applies to ironing luckily)

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 07-Sept-16 13:59:08

Well, I have been! But it starts getting me down. hmm

gillybob Wed 07-Sept-16 13:56:48

You should follow my motto Jings

Why do today, what you can put off until tomorrow.

and tomorrow never comes

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 07-Sept-16 13:52:16

It's just a merry-go-round. hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 07-Sept-16 13:51:33

I've got beds to change now Willow. Sigh!

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 07-Sept-16 13:50:34

Thank God that's finished. I'm hot!

Anya what the eff are you talking about? confused

grannyqueenie Wed 07-Sept-16 13:43:54

Milk that one for as long as you can Anya ???

Willow500 Wed 07-Sept-16 13:38:16

I did a pile of ironing on Sunday morning then changed the beds and did another load of washing - the basket is still sitting there looking at me accusingly every time I go in the utility room blush

Anya Wed 07-Sept-16 13:03:29

NanKate have you spotted that really hot thread about how to * and * it in a ***** blush

I've just reported it to HQ so it'll be taken down PDQ but get over there quickly before it is.

MiniMouse Wed 07-Sept-16 13:01:13

Ironing?? Off to Google it . . . . .

NanKate Wed 07-Sept-16 12:57:03

Yes keep those arms resting Anya. No ironing for you for at least a year by GN edict. grin

Anya Wed 07-Sept-16 12:55:52

Nothing but the best.

Not allowed to iron at the moment [smug emoticon] not that I ever do anyway.

Bought DH a lovely new iron for his birthday.

harrigran Wed 07-Sept-16 12:52:14

Linsco that is a shame I have this really juicy bit of gossip but it would probably take an hour or so to tell, pity but the ironing is more important ?

Linsco56 Wed 07-Sept-16 12:49:22

Think I will have to join you at the ironing board. We returned from holiday on Monday night and after 3 machine loads of washing yesterday will have to iron most of it today...or I could wait until this evening, or tomorrow, or the next day!

ninathenana Wed 07-Sept-16 12:48:08

I have his trousers and a shirt that need doing so they can be packed as we're leaving at silly o'clock Friday morning.
Will probably be doing them Thursday evening.

kittylester Wed 07-Sept-16 12:47:42

I did mine yesterdaygrin[smug emoticons]

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 07-Sept-16 12:42:19

I've got trousers to do - mine and his. Trousers are the worst! sad

DanniRae Wed 07-Sept-16 12:37:01

You iron tea towels!! - Oh Stansgran you must really love ironing??

I hate it - and do so little that my husband has started doing his own.

He's really good at it too grin

merlotgran Wed 07-Sept-16 12:34:19

I've finally got the hoovering done and am just about to empty the washing machine having stopped for another coffee break.

Sod the ironing grin

tanith Wed 07-Sept-16 12:34:15

I've hidden mine under a chair at the kitchen table and it isn't a big pile but it does contain 5 @loody shirts. I hate ironing shirts.

Stansgran Wed 07-Sept-16 12:28:17

I've only got 8pillowcases and one tea towel to iron so I can stay on. Smug emoticon.
