October 1st UN Older persons day

I shall do much as I did when my mother told me - apparently thinking it was such good news - that now I was 50 I was eligible to go on Saga holidays!

In other words, shudder and ignore it.

Ist of October is the UN International Older Persons Day.
Do GNs have any ideas about how we should spend the day-only repeatsble ideas please, or should we scrap it altogether?
