Thanks for good wishes...my friend just sent a pic of her husband in High Dependency unit, propped up but fully conscious and giving a thumbs up!! Amazing when he's barely 6 hours out of surgery. Augurs well for a good recovery. She's shattered but can't sleep - hopefully she'll at least manage to rest.

Always a worrying time. Good new though. Very pleased for them

That's great news - hope he recovers well from the op and doesn't need further treatment.

I am happy for you. Cancer is a disgusting disease. Hope he makes a full recovery and never has to look back. His wife must be so relieved, poor woman

What a relief! The liver is a marvellous organ, able to regenerate after major surgery. I wish him a speedy recovery and all the luck in the world.

My friend's husband was having major surgery today to remove a large section of his liver because of two cancerous tumours. She's just messaged to say he's out of theatre, in recovery and all went very well. I'm so relieved for them, it's been such a difficult time. They caught his tumours very early due to tests for something else, so medics are very optimistic he'll make full recovery. Today is a good day.
