Paperwork

Ah, paperwork the bain of my life !
Shredding gets done quiet quickly but anything that needs filing goes in the letter rackx2 these get sorted when I can't fit any more in. It then makes it's way to the top of the filing cabinet in spare room D's bedroom and eventually is filed in the cabinet. I wish I could make myself file it on the day it's received but life's to short.

We have a small filing cabinet with hanging files, all labelled 'gas', 'phone' etc. Easy but effective.

We have a couple of concertina files, the ones with the alphabetical sections, but Mr P's "system" is rather different to mine!

Some car stuff gets put under M for Mercedes, or A for Astra (no, not even V for Vauxhall )

When the clocks changed I was looking for the instructions for the oven so that I could change the time display.

I tried C for cooker, O for Oven, even S for stove, even though neither of us call it that. I eventually found it in the K section, he had decided that as it is in the kitchen, that's where it should go.

Much as I may love his company, I do not think that Grampy is one to come here as his filing is on a par with mine.

I am trying desperately not to drop down dead tomorrow until I get my paperwork sorted which means I will definitely be around for another 100 years, 50 if I make much progress.

NananadGrampy reading your method has made me go urgently for a lie down, I could not cope with such efficiency.

If left to Grampy , piles would appear on any flat surface ! I grab mail from the door, open it, shred it or deal with it. It goes in a 31 section file if not immediate action, and each morning I check that day I.e today would be 17 and action it.

I then shred it or scan it and file it electronically and shred the hard copy lol

I have a collection of pretty A4 boxes on my bookshelf. Labelled similarly to tanith's box folder.

I hate paperwork as I deal with it all day at work.

I have a box folder holder with different folders for each thing.

CAR includes RAC, MOT and anything else car related
BANK
GUARANTEES
INSURANCES
HOLIDAY STUFF
HEALTH RELATED

ETC ETC..

I find if I don't deal with on the day it arrives then it does form a pile if you don't organise somewhere for it to go.

Not foolproof though unless you are strict with yourself which obviously you and Charleygirl aren't..

You have a twin here! I have never had file anything in my life, that is my excuse.
