I don't feel old at all (I'm 64) but I've pulled a muscle in my calf and I'm hobbling around very slowly. It doesn't make me feel old but probably makes me look old. Normally I run, even in the house, or walk quite fast. I've always found people who amble along intensely irritating, especially if I can't get past them. They are often much younger than I am. (Of course, I'm excluding anyone with a stick/crutches/carer/tight white perm etc. They're entitled to be slow whatever their chronological age!) If I were behind myself later today in the airport, I'd be fuming. I'm going to be slow. Sadly, it was running that did the damage. I already had some discomfort from overuse at a residential fitness week ? but it was resolving. I forgot to be careful, ran down the passageway to fetch something and bang! something popped ? That was on Sunday morning and I'm still not walking properly. No offence intended btw. Sorry to sound horribly complacent. I'm lucky to be (usually) fit and well.
