Good news Daphne sunshine

Charleygirl Fri 23-Sept-16 22:20:11

What a delightful young lady Daphne- thank goodness that it is "only" a Baker's Cyst. Great relief all round I would think.

You will sleep well tonight, having worked so hard today entertaining and being entertained. Is Grace okay?

Tegan Fri 23-Sept-16 22:11:18

...I meant DB of course#endofalongday

cornergran Fri 23-Sept-16 22:06:36

Good news dd. Can uncross fingers and toes.

Tegan Fri 23-Sept-16 21:59:20

I'm so relieved DD; have been thinking of you all afternoon. Great news! Phew. And breathe.....

Galen Fri 23-Sept-16 21:23:50

Alleluia
I have broadband again.
I have only managed to get it by bribing paying BT £50+£7.99 delivery for their new smart hub.
It does seem to have solved the problem ( so far) in that I've now had broadband for 3 hours, rather than the 10mins it was giving me before needing to be rebooted!

Bellanonna Fri 23-Sept-16 21:13:15

That's good news Daphne. You must feel so relieved. I've got a Bakers Cyst behind my knee too! What a lovely pic of your little GD.

DaphneBroon Fri 23-Sept-16 20:34:56

Feeling very relieved. Radiographer (?) who did DGS's MRI scan was 99% certain that this is a Baker's cyst (and yes, DD had been a bit vague, and it is behind his knee)
I was very worried, as you are when a child or grandchild might be ill.
Had a lovely time with DGD whose favourite game seems to be tipping picture bricks out of the box and putting them back in to make a picture Picasso would be proud of, saying for each brick "iss one goes ee-ah"!!

Tegan Fri 23-Sept-16 19:59:17

Frying pans are good for getting samples from bitches...not sure how you go about it with a dog...

Tizliz Fri 23-Sept-16 19:37:12

Crafting Fri 23-Sept-16 19:00:11

Crafting Fri 23-Sept-16 18:59:02

Tizliz my DH has storms too. Would you mind popping round and feeding him too grin

Lona so pleased to hear about your son. You must be so pleasedsmile

wot Fri 23-Sept-16 18:33:21

Glad your dog is okay ?

Tizliz Fri 23-Sept-16 18:05:15

Feeling a bit guilty as one of our dogs has been lethargic for a few weeks now, and we had started calling him lazy. But on Monday there was quite a lot of blood on the floor and after intense examination of both dogs found Anlon was bleeding from his private parts. Having lost one dog already this year we took him to the vets with much trepidation. However, the vet says it is just stones and antibiotics worked within 24 hours and he is getting back to his usual self. He will need special food for a couple of months which will break the stones up. What a relief.
(have you ever tried to get an urine sample from a dog grin )

Tizliz Fri 23-Sept-16 18:00:44

soop the pin would be to push the reset button in on your router. Always a good idea to do this first. BUT newer routers have a button that you just push. Do you need a new router? Could negotiate with BT as they can cost over £100, but if you are out of contract an arrangement could be made smile.

Wish my OH would finish working, I am starving and there is a nice shepherd's pie in the fridge at home.

wb I feel for you, getting old is not easy (though the alternative is not good).

annsixty Fri 23-Sept-16 17:37:50

Lona very good news about yor son, I hope it continues ti improve. I haven't had an injection for several weeks now. I go for scans in2 weeks.
I hope everyone else is getting over their various traumas.
wb that bone on bone is the most awful thing, I hope you get it sorted.

soop Fri 23-Sept-16 17:32:22

With luck, I should still have internet connection tomorrow. If so, I shall pop into the kitchen for updates. If not, bags will speak on my behalf. Let's hope that it's the former. I feel more human now that I'm back in the know.
All emails read. Most were rubbish. About to log off and wish you lot a pleasant and peaceful Friday evening.
smile moon

soop Fri 23-Sept-16 16:40:28

Lona That is good news for your son. smile Whenever I'm bothered by a certain item of underwear I remove it and slip into a sleep-bra. Heavenly!

Wobblyb My knee is beginning to feel rubbishy. I hobble up and down stairs. However, I need to get the "drop bot" sorted first. It's all go at our tender age. wink

Lona Fri 23-Sept-16 16:38:30

kitty hope you're feeling better now flowers
Wobbly maybe the gardening and dancing has just inflamed the hip joint?

Wobblybits Fri 23-Sept-16 16:23:24

Thanks Soop, not sure it is a new hip that I need grin.

I was fine up until 2 weeks ago, in fact I was more active than i have been for a while, gardening, dancing etc. and I was loosing weight. My hip pain started quite suddenly over a day or two. This is exactly what happened with my other hip, the cartilage in the joint broke up and left bone on bone. Feels very much the same now.

Lona Fri 23-Sept-16 16:10:55

Crikey, there are a lot of buggerations going on in here. Where to start?
Daphne I hope your dgs is ok and the lump is not a nasty.
Corner, number, Charleygirl and Annsixty flowers wine
Corner this too will pass grin
Ann you're doing so well, you'll be dancing soon!
Wobbly I'm extremely impressed by the range of your talents!wink
I've been at the eye hospital today with my son. He's had injections again but his eyes are improving all the time and he may start having jabs every other month.smile
I'm going to make a cuppa now and remove an article of underwear which is digging into my ribs! wink
TTFN xx

If I told you that I've lost a lengthy message to you lot you'll have some idea what I'm feeling right now. confused

The internet has been messing around on and off for a long time. In spite of MacS getting bogged down in a lengthy conversation with a gentleman in Mumbai (and barely understanding a word of support) he managed to remain sort of focused. Although his eyes did glaze over at one point.
MacS believes the assistant helper asked him to find "a pin"...hmm There followed an awfully long pause when nothing happened. MacS was being asked to do something or other with the pin when I realised that the flashing amber light on the hub had changed to green. He therefore thanked the gentleman most sincerely and slumped into a chair...faint from lack of nourishment and mumbling obscene words under his breath.

It's a damp and windy day in Kintyre. Rory has returned to bed. I'm about to read the list of emails. Pleased to be back in the kitchen.

By the way, Wobblybits A new hip will make a new man of you. Mrs WB is in for a treat. You went to a great deal of trouble to bake your bread. I'm impressed.
