What happened to manners?

Whoops! Pressed the button too quickly. Anyway, what's really upsetting me is that not only was I as a girl taught to give my seat up to the elderly or infirm, this whole lack of consideration for others wasn't setting my grandchildren a very good example. Does anyone else get mad at this?

I've just had a lovely day out at the Edinburgh Festival but DH and I decided to take the train with two of our grandchildren.

I was appalled by the lack of manners some people show. There were people taking up two or three seats with bags, feet up on the seats, etc; some even hiding behind dark glasses so you couldn't tell if they were asleep.

On the way home the train was filled to bursting; people were standing in the aisles and the areas between coaches.
