Could someone tell Sky Senior News Correspondent Beth Rigby that it is always correct to pronounce the final 'g' words ending in 'ing' and by never doing so, her credibility is in question?

Sorry Gransnet for going off-piste.

Geeing

Surely losing the final g is just a regional variation? Liverpudlians emphasise the final g. I love the variety of pronunciations in the UK and would not like us all to speak the same.

Can't agree with that, specki. Pronunciation does vary from region to region. I never pronounce the final g in "ing" words, so presumably I'm wrong too. Oh well, I can live with that.
