I was sure I'd seen Benny Hill once and happily told people about it until someone told me he'd died ages ago. Somewhere there's a lucky lookee likee!

Passed Jim Davidson in the street. Shared a lift with Greg Rutherford. Saw Jennifer Saunders and Ade when having coffee in St Mawes earlier in the year. Clem Curtis ( Build me up Buttercup) lives just up the road from us. I once made a sandwich for Peter West at my In-laws house.

I came face to face with Ronnie Corbett a couple of years ago.
I am short, but he was shorter!
He had come out of his car as I was walking along the pavement. Just as I was getting used to seeing him, a man opened a door for him in some sort of office, and he was ushered upstairs.

I was with some friends in the cafe in the Pavilion gardens in Buxton and as we walked out I saw a man looking at the pictures on display. I was pretty sure he had been a colleague of H's but couldn't remember his name so I looked at his wife before going across in case she triggered my memory. It was a good job I did as it was the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and the reason he looked so familiar was that a series about Chatsworth had recently been on television.

Years ago we were leaving Paddington Station when a man who I sure was Michael Foot was going into the station. He was tall and very distinguished looking. He didn't come across well on TV.

I literally bumped into Mick Jagger down the Kings Road in the 60s. A big car with tinted windows pulled up ahead of me and several young men dashed out and up an alley. The last one bumped into me and nearly knocked me over.

To stop me falling he put his hands on my shoulder and said 'sorry love', are you all right?' and only then did I recognise him. Then he too dashed up the alley following (.presumably) the rest of the Stones.

I shared a lift with David Essex after being at his pantomime. I was dumbstruck as he spoke to me, just nodded, DOH! Peter Kay was in our local Asda but then he's pretty common around these parts, lol.

We saw Tanni Grey Thompson in Boots one day [at least, we're pretty sure it was her].

Oh and a few weeks ago I saw our local constituency MP Guy Opperman having dinner with Keith Vaz in our local Indian Restaurant, Haveli.
Apparently it came fourth in a competition to find MPs' favourite restaurants shock

I saw Elton John in a shopping mall in Hongkong once.
And Kevin Whately at Newcastle Airport.

I've just seen Rev Kate from Goggkebox on another programme which was a bit strange. it's got me wondering.whuch famous people we've spotted (or met) out of their natural habitat!

I once passed Prof. Brian Cox on the concourse at Aberdeen railway station. I've also had the ex First Minister, one Alex Salmond, wedged in the front of my Fiat 500 and he's a lot bigger than you think! He was only a constituency MP at the time.
