I have noticed many of us are 70 this year. Let's have a party.

Perhaps you could give your d o b and what you are bringing to the party.

27 September 1946
Very large bottle of champagne

Over to you

I'd love to come, though I'm a couple of years away from the next Big Birthday. I'll bring a fruit cake and some lancashire cheese to eat with it.

Anya Mon 01-Aug-16 07:15:08

Thank you NanKate I'll accept your kind invitation.

I'm fetching some very yummy cauliflower pizza, quail eggs wrapped in wild smoked salmon and a selection of cheese. Two out of the three will be fine for our veggie guests.

I'm still on my no alcohol challenge day 67/100 but if the party is still ongoing on September 4th I could break out the home-made cassis?

annsixty Mon 01-Aug-16 07:15:04

Well I hope you all have a wonderful time , and I may have to organise a party for us pre-war babies, 1937 me. I wonder how many will turn out for that.

NanKate Mon 01-Aug-16 07:01:07

Yes Mick all Baby-boomers are welcome.

Falconbird Mon 01-Aug-16 07:00:15

You're right Mick. Boomers are children born after the war i.e 1946 onwards. I'm not sure when the Boomer period ends but I think it's a period of about 10/15 years. All those born in 1946, me included are called lead (first) Boomers. There are lots of us because men were encouraged to go home after the war and have families. smile

NanKate Mon 01-Aug-16 06:59:25

Hi Anya you have special dispensation to come to the party.

Thanks for the lovely compliment. smile Don't you think us grans/ Nans generally look far younger than a few generations ago ? We are encouraged to dress in a modern way and keep fit and healthy for as long as possible.

Now Anya what low carb delights will you be bringing to the party ?

12Michael Mon 01-Aug-16 06:56:13

I was born in May 1948, and think this was also considered a baby boomers period.
Mick

Oh dear I'll miss this by just 23 days as my birthday's in January. Never mind will have one next year for 47 babies perhaps.

NanKate having met you there's no way I'd have thought your 70th was imminent shock

NanKate Mon 01-Aug-16 06:30:51
