My DIL sent me an invitation this morning to join this wonderful site which is from my little grandson's nursery in NZ. In it we get to see photos and some videos of the children in their classes each day doing various activities and if the child (your relative) has been particularly involved they write a blog about them. I've seen him making biscuits and doing hand painting as well as reading special insights into how involved he was with these. We are also able to make a comment which will go into their year books and even write a story for them. I think it's such a brilliant idea and means that we get to feel involved in his life a little more than normally and will also mean we will have things to talk about to him when we Skype. My husband is out there with them at the moment on holiday which makes me feel even more remote but with this it's meant I get an insight into what his daily routine is. I don't know if this something new or if other grandparents already use this but I would definitely recommend it
