I was out shopping at the weekend and popped to the loo in a department store. It was only after I had finished that I noticed that there was no toilet paper in my cubicle. Had nothing on me (friend was waiting outside with bags) so was faced with the following dilemma (note that it wasn't one of those huge loos - there were three or four cubicles and as far as I was aware I was the only one in there)
- nip out of my cubicle with trousers half mast to see if the next one had any paper (taking risk of not being the only person in there after all or of someone walking in)
- lying on the floor and trying to get my arm under the wall of the next cubicle to see if there was loo roll hanging down that I could reach (vetoed that one on several grounds including the fact I am not that supple and the floor didn't look very clean)
- leaving without having had the use of any paper
Anyone else been in this situation? I can tell you that I will always check before I go in future

and say 'no paper'
so sorry you've had such a bad day.
Since my knee op I often go out with OH without my bag as it was impossible on crutches and then sticks- and it happened to me not very long ago. Oh the shame of the 'trousers just pulled up enough' to be able to go to next cubicle and hope there is no-one around
