Hi I dont know what to get my grandson for his birthday. He is turning 12 next week he asked me to surprise him he didn't ask for a specific present.

What a brilliant thread - have laughed out loud for the first time in a week! Thanks. The answer is probably "money - "That's what I want" (as the song goes) grin

MiniMouse Fri 01-Jul-16 18:14:06

So he won't dance too fast, presumably? grin

Grantj10 Fri 01-Jul-16 17:39:40

He's having brake dance lessons

Bellanonna Fri 01-Jul-16 09:17:53

Didn't notice anyone mocking dance lessons. The veracity of the whole thread, possibly, yes

My GS is 12 tomorrow - actually in about 25 minutes from now! Hard cash is what he wants. He is very good at saving up for what he really wants - usually computer related and I wouldn't be any good at choosing anything like that for him.

No indeed jingl my DGS (6) has been selected for free ballet lessons for a year from Royal Ballet. Not mocking the dance lessons. hmm

Elrel Thu 30-Jun-16 22:53:52

Too right, Jings, look what ballet classes did for Carlos Acosta! His father sent him to keep him off the streets and out of trouble!

Bellanonna Thu 30-Jun-16 22:43:30

Is it ballet, or tap maybe?

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 30-Jun-16 22:33:08

There's nothing actually funny about a boy having dance lessons.

Ana Thu 30-Jun-16 22:27:39

Well, you're sorted with the dance lessons then! smile

Grantj10 Thu 30-Jun-16 22:22:06

It's not a wind up

Ana Thu 30-Jun-16 22:09:37

It would make it a bit less obvious that this is a wind-up if you even pretended to be puzzled by the responses you're getting, Grantj10...hmm

Alea Thu 30-Jun-16 22:05:38

They're the ones who don't change their spots, aren't they, breeze?

breeze Thu 30-Jun-16 21:56:39

Oh god, I'm going to bed before we go the 'leotard' route!

Alea Thu 30-Jun-16 21:53:34

Oh good, so you have realised it is called "predictive" text, not what you called it before confused

Grantj10 Thu 30-Jun-16 21:51:54

I don't think he could attend dance lessons In his onesie

breeze Thu 30-Jun-16 21:51:21

Oh stop it. My sides ache. Elrel inspired!

MiniMouse Thu 30-Jun-16 21:40:47

I now have an image of him dancing in his onesie and Uggs shock

Grantj10 Thu 30-Jun-16 21:38:57

I ment dance lessons not Dane predictive text is annoying me again sad

Ana Thu 30-Jun-16 20:55:53

Or Sleep, even...grin

Stansgran Thu 30-Jun-16 20:53:27

Slepe

Stansgran Thu 30-Jun-16 20:53:12

The next Billy Elliot or Wayne wotsit?

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 30-Jun-16 20:47:48

Err... predictive text?

Alea Thu 30-Jun-16 20:45:50

No Jingl s/he definitely said "DANE"

Elrel Thu 30-Jun-16 20:43:53

So he's learning to become a Viking, or a Lego piece.
