Sometimes when people have bad health problems they forget to appreciate how hard it is for the people looking after them. Tell him your GN friends have sent you some to cheer you up!

I've got lamb curry in tomato sauce on the go - there might be some left but I am comfort eating as an alternative to watching the flipping football which appears to be on every TV we possess!

MacSporran continues to shift whatever it is that he's hanging on to storing in the loft. I'm unable to climb into it (without falling arse over tit)...

Tomorrow morning is care home visit. Tomorrow afternoon I will be going to the hospital in Lochgilphead. I'm hoping that our dear neighbour, who has dementia, will recognise me. I shall pop in to catch up with all the happenings in between visits.

Not a bad day. A sprinkling of rain but otherwise decent enough. Not as clammy as it has been.

I've been trying to answer Charleygirl's question since 12.30 and I keep getting sidetracked!
No we haven't exchanged yet, so I'm still living on a knife edge! As mum used to say "There's many a slip twixt cup and lip!!" However, I hope to move into my flat on July 1st (solicitors willing!)

My house is full of beautiful flowers, in fact I'm struggling for vases as I sent some to the charity shop and packed the rest! Well, that was a waste of energy as they are now unpacked.
Anyway, I've brought some sticky toffee pudding to share and also a huge lemon drizzle cake especially for soop and those who don't like S T pud.

Happy birthday, lona, sounds as if it a wonderful one. Love the balloons. alea your grandchildren are beautiful, a day with the little man sounds to be just what the doctor ordered. Wow charlie, just the right time to try for an appointment, hope it goes well. Our sweet peas are only about 6 inches tall - what am I doing wrong gaga? It seems I need to give them some tlc rather than nag them . We've been clearing out a shed today! kittylester We had frequent dad emergencies that required much to-ing and fro-ing to check out the seriousness of the alarm. My youngest sister was living in Milton Keynes and our pop was in Thrapston. She made regular trips from her home to his to fix the "snow on the television screen" (which meant that the aerial had been tampered with.) She was a brick. We lived in Cornwall. Not an easy drive for us to sort such matters out.

Jalima Any alcoholic drink at mid day sends me to sleep. I then wake up with a hell of a headache. It isn't worth the pain.

I am in OH's good books (though not confessed to my stupidity). His CNC mill stopped working and he was pulling out his hair (and he doesn't have that much ) so I consulted Google and though I can't understand any of the electrical/engineering stuff I did read that low oil levels could cause his problem. I was right! I got a gold star for Googling.

Sorry Lona for not wishing you happy birthday, too busy kicking myself earlier on. I will have a or two tonight for you!

Charley, the NHS seems to be doing ok for you at the moment. I hope it works for soop before too long.

We had another 'mum' emergency last Friday and, yet again, she is now back to 'normal'. I really find tenterhooks (whatever they might be) very uncomfortable and exhausting. Especially as both brothers are away/busy this week - and without asking me either. Panics are happening quite often lately and we are getting a bit blase about it so they both just got on with their plans.

I had a taster of the damson gin before I bought it - quite strong and definitely not for lunch-time imbibing!
