Alea so sorry to hear that. Poor DH, and poor you sitting in A&E all this time. Hope he is treated soon. So worrying!

Oh Alea I am so sorry to hear that you are both going through this performance again. Why do you not ring 999? That would hopefully get you an ambulance sooner, especially with his past medical problems as well as the present.

I would not worry about the knickers, at least you remembered to wear a pair!

Here we go again.
DH in acute pain when he woke up, lower back and right abdomen where he has an incision hernia. Rang 111 and they sent a paramedic. A 2 hour further wait for an ambulance to A&E ( it wasn't technically urgent) and finally now waiting in a bay in A&E having blood taken.
Heigh ho.
(Just had time to throw clothes on and find to my shame that I have put yesterday's knickers on inside out!!! ????)
Hope I don't get knocked down by a bus!!

I was a guinea pig for medical students this morning at my GP surgery and of course the heavens opened so driving was chaotic. I was soaked when I arrived and came home immediately afterwards, having intended to go to my local M&S food store. Naturally now that I am seated with a cup of coffee the rain has stopped.

I fancy something easy to cook tonight because I will be watching England play Slovakia.

Not brighter here N&G it's persisting down! Supposed to clear later, so I'm still lolling in my pjs
I'll start on the tea and cake though. Anything to warm me up!

We will be building an ark today ! I am happy to have all of you on board plus animal associates ( I shall be ignoring the rules of 2 x 2) so everyone is welcome.

There will be cake and tea for everyone . Only rule ( for animal associates is no eating any other guests !!)

Its raining here...still. I'm bored with it. I'm also bored with being indoors but I'm stuck with it I think.

Creeping in for a late visit. Good if busy day today, Father's Day outing for DH followed by the first childminding skirmish. Think we won the battle, will report later in the war . lona your new home looks lovely, beautiful gardens and a sunny balcony. We have managed front gardens where we live, it's so nice to enjoy the fruits of the gardeners labours without lifting a hand to a lawnmower. We have our back garden to ourselves, good compromise for us. dustyangel I own to not understand the detail of your endeavours but after renovating our little home here years ago and with current plans for more foundation digging I can understand with the sheer hard work of it. Off to get some sleep now. Back soon. .

Alea, is it Albert at the Zoo? I used to love the Stanley Holloway monologues. Bought a cd of them a few yers back, but nobody but me wants to listen to them, they say they`re too dated.

I could not watch the entire match- it was too nail biting but it is so nice to see Andy with a lovely smile on his face. I cannot believe that Ivan Lendl just walked out as soon as he saw that Andy had won.

At least Milos Raonic was very gracious in defeat. He will be a force to be reckoned with at Wimbledon.

I have enjoyed the football, tennis and I can look forward to the ladies playing next week and then Wimbledon. I will just have taken in a breath when we are off to Rio so my eyes will be glued to the TV for the athletics and swimming.

Aw, Thank you soop. I occasionally need some kind optimistic thoughts.

I haven't posted much about it as I didn't want to jinx it but I feel at the moment that even if we can't go ahead properly, we might as well knock down the old building which is very damp in the winter and have room for some sort of wooden house. DD has forwarded me a link for some very stylish eco pods. It would be a lot cheaper.

I must go and be sociable.

Missed all of Andy's 3rd set except the final ball, but as I was skypeing my 3 year old dgd it was worth it.

am shattered after hosting a busy Fathers Day here [the upside... there is enough left over to eat for the next 3 days.] However if you put the kettle on here, I will slump for a while with a cuppa and have Rory on my knees.Or is it McSporran [ I get man and cat mixed up!]

dusty I know from experience what it is you've been dealing with. You have remained remarkably composed. It takes a brave hearted person to tackle all that is called for in preparation for demolishing and building anew. My husband was an architect in a former life. We tackled two conversions including a storehouse and hay loft - both derelict. As for waiting for planning permission and the rest...I would sooner not go down that route ever again.
Wise decision to enjoy a pleasant meal cooked and served in a relaxing atmosphere.

anno I barely breathed for all of the final set. Wasn't it marvellous tennis. Raonic is a very decent, good mannered player. He's also a dynamic server. Phew...wish I had a glass of Champagne right this minute.

What a match! A great learning experience for Raonic who looks like a force to be reckoned with. I hope he will be in Djokovic's half of the Wimbledon draw! A fine afternoon's work from Andy. What an ability he has to change up a gear - or two.
