Hi everyone. Can I smell curry? Well, living near Leicester, I probably can. But this one smells delicious.

I'll just park myself over here and will wait until some one passes me some if you don't mind. I'm bushed! It was the village library's 1St birthday celebration today and I've been on the go since 2 dgds got into bed with us at 7pm. The party was a success but I've only just sat down!

cornergran Sat 02-Jul-16 16:42:33

On our way home from Cambridge. Been through cloudbursts and thinking about stopping for some food. Breakfast was both big and excellent but such a long while ago I could just murder that curry and I know Mr C would agree. Can hear his tummy rumbling. smile. Pleased all is calm today. Fingers crossed for Andy.

Back out on centre court hooray!

Kittye Sat 02-Jul-16 16:28:56

Oh N&G I've just read your post and I'm so envious!
I'm just "cooking" a salad as I'm on a diet and I can almost smell your curry envy

Charleygirl Sat 02-Jul-16 16:14:47

Yummy, yummy, will there be space in the car after Galen has been picked up? If I enjoy the food I may move in! I love dogs and Tara is out so much you would hardly see her.

I have been watching Novak and he and Sam had to return to the locker room with the score 2 sets to Sam, 1 to Novak and the 4the set was I think 6/5 in Sam's favour. If he holds his nerve he will do it. During the breaks I was switching over and watching Andy but he did not need me shouting at the screen whereas Sam did.

I think that Wimbledon should move because there has not been a drop of rain in NW London. We only "do" sunshine.

soop Sat 02-Jul-16 15:56:27

Sounds heavenly to me, N&G.

Have no sooner taken a wee break because Andy's match interrupted by a shower, than MacS informs me Novak's postponed game is being shown. Funny old day. Sun, rain, gloomy, bright all within the space of a brew.

You are all welcome, I love a good table full. Essex is where we call home - so not far from London.

Soop Pathia is what I would calla fruity curry, has mango chutney in it - also home made- so it's flavourful without blowing your head off.

I started making my own curry because for years I said that I didn't like curry - think 70's Vesta curry lol . Now I do it because I like to know what's in it - no mystery meat for us smile

Galen get your coat on :-)

Galen Sat 02-Jul-16 15:11:22

Pick me up en route please! I could murder a good home cooked curry!

soop Sat 02-Jul-16 15:08:33

NanaandGrampy I've not sampled a chicken Pathia. It sounds interesting. My husband, MacSporran lived in Leicester for several years. He knows just about everything there is to know about a decent curry. Last time we had a curry, was several years ago, when my son was at Edinburgh Uni'.

The weather is playing havoc with the tennis schedule. Have made a fresh brew and will hope that play resumes very soon.

No news from our friend. She will be in touch before too long. I'm feeling on edge as we await latest update on her husband's condition.

Bellanonna Sat 02-Jul-16 14:57:20

Where do you live N&G? Should I start off now (London suburbs)?

NanaandGrampy Sat 02-Jul-16 14:53:22

A magnum sounds wonderful Charley but it's curry night here !

So I have a chicken Pathia bubbling away, fragrant pilau rice to conjure up, onion bhajis to prep and a wonderful coconut and sultana naan bread proving !!

There's always plenty to share for those that like Indian food !

Personally, think it would be a sad site without room for everyone. And no Jingle is unthinkable, otherwise who would we have to cross pen swords with! However, I don't think the kitchen is the place for any of that. And good to remember that just because you don't have any problems, have some empathy for those who do, need a bit of support, sympathy, a cuppa, slice of delicious cake or a shoulder to cry on. Don't mock them. Plenty of 'threads to go round'. So glad it's all patched up on here. Hey, peace and love (ooh, I just went back to the 60's, Lucy in the Sky... be grateful you can't hear me sing it! and anyway, I was only a toddler at the time, can't think how it stuck in my mind!)

soop Sat 02-Jul-16 14:42:07

Charleyg Is Andy about to play? I've a Magnum chilling in the freezer. White choc (not a favourite) but I can't let it go to waste. wink

Charleygirl Sat 02-Jul-16 14:36:54

soop that is Rory's place, how could you move him? Just because you want to watch Andy does not mean that you move that gorgeous baby boy who needs his rest obviously.

soop Sat 02-Jul-16 14:32:53

Okay...^you lot^ let's have ourselves a happy hour. I shall conjure up a bottle of bubbly. Away to plump the cushions and shift a very large, lazy cat from the chaise. wink

Charleygirl Sat 02-Jul-16 14:30:59

I agree, Bellanonna, There are effective sprays on the market nowadays.

soop Sat 02-Jul-16 14:30:57

grin I'm feeling very much like my old self. flowers for every one of you. sunshine

Bellanonna Sat 02-Jul-16 14:29:38

Sorry soop blush. I get a bit behind with posts

Charleygirl Sat 02-Jul-16 14:29:20

Sorry, she was too rude.

Bellanonna Sat 02-Jul-16 14:28:45

Charleygirl - I hope wherever it's buzzed off to, someone has some good spray.

soop Sat 02-Jul-16 14:27:16

Jingle has been in touch with me. Should she still be able to visit us in "La la land" then I shall share a huge slab of virtual friendship cake with her. Enough of bickering. Let's continue to be pals...all of us, including Jings

Bellanonna Sat 02-Jul-16 14:26:46

Posted that a bit late, didn't I !

Bellanonna Sat 02-Jul-16 14:26:18

I've always lived there?

Crafting Sat 02-Jul-16 14:24:47

Soop there are so many of us who like it in the kitchen. We all have worries and troubles in our lives. Any urge for having a good ding dong can be taken up on other threads. This one is our kitchen for support, cake, humour and a bit of nice norty behaviour (now Mrs P has put her knickers back on grin)

Alea please come back. We all want to know how your DH is and to see more photos of that gorgeous baby.

I don't care if it's thought of as la la land ( I was never much of a teletubbie's fan myself) it is a place many of us want to chat in and relax. Long may it continue Soop

Now here's a nice big no calorie cupcake to share. Let's put on a brew

Charleygirl Sat 02-Jul-16 13:58:04

I also am more than happy here. The irritating fly appears to have flown elsewhere to create havoc.
