Never wash on holiday, I just bung it all in a laundry bag and do it when I get home.
I did witness someone's case burst open on the carousel in an airport, I don't know what she felt but my toes were curling. The most lurid coloured underwear I have ever seen, bras and obviously worn G strings, some of the garments went round the carousel several times before she could grab them all.

Not usually, but where we stayed very recently, there was a lovely habit of putting out books, magazines, papers, on a little wall, for others to read and pass on. One morning there was a bottle of washing liquid, so I took it and washed all our undies, treading them in the bath. grin Next morning, on the way to breakfast, I put the bottle back on the wall. It was gone by the time we next passed by. Result, as when we got home, the washing machine still had to be on full pelt nearly all day, and it was pouring with rain all day. sad, and it was hell trying to dry everything indoors.

No except if I need to wear it again on holiday . Why spend your time doing mundane things when there are much more interesting things to do ?

Like others, I throw all the used stuff into one case then tip it straight into the machine when we get back. The only time I've washed clothes on holiday was when we travelled across Canada then had an Alaskan cruise. We needed so much hot weather, cold weather, formal stuff with us that I had to do one load in a laundrette. I can remember bitterly resenting wasting precious holiday time on chores. And I lost my favourite Summer frock - presumably flattened to a washer or dryer drum!

Yes. We usually go self-catering and I wouldn't consider a cottage or villa without a washing machine. I usually wash twice during our stay - well I am paying for the electricity! grin
It doesn't take long and occasionally I iron it too.

I unpack beside the washing machine and throw everything in. Life's to short for doing laundry on holiday - with the exception of caravanning with the family!

sunseeker that has happened to me! French airport, no privacy just on a counter in the very small departure lounge.

No however I have been known to order an online shop to be delivered when I get home

Normally, no. A holiday is a holiday. However, if we stay with DD I wash everything and pack it all clean to bring home. What doesn't get washed we leave behind and DD kindly washes it ready for the next time we go.

Yes, I hate getting home with a pile of dirty washing. It's dreadful enough for a holiday to have to end. I'll always try do a load on the last day. It doesn't take long. Pop it on first thing, hang it up/pop in dryer after breakfast and you're done.

No!! There is plenty of time for washing clothes when I get back. I do sometimes wonder how I would feel if I am stopped and my luggage searched and the customs officer has to deal with my plastic bag of dirty knickers! grin (Not happened yet thank goodness)

No!!!!But yes I do if we are in a cottage but then its because we are walking and getting muddy and wet- Pembrokeshire for us in September - be lovely never been there before.

tanith Thu 02-Jun-16 11:30:58

No it all the dirty stuff goes in one case so no sorting out when I unpack. I wouldn't waste precious holiday time washing clothes.

Alima Thu 02-Jun-16 11:17:14

I do if we are in a holiday cottage in Britain. Means we take less stuff. Whenever we arrive back from a plane flight I am always wide awake so get the washing on before the cases go upstairs. Everyone else has gone to bed by this point.

Badenkate Thu 02-Jun-16 11:16:32

We usually go for a week at a time and take enough clothes with us for the week plus a plastic bag to put dirty clothes in so that they go straight into the washing machine when we get home. Washing on holiday - not unless absolutely desperate!

GandTea Thu 02-Jun-16 11:16:31

NO, got better things to do on holiday than wash clothes (unless we are away so long, that there is no choice)

Nonnie1 Thu 02-Jun-16 11:07:59

Does anyone actually wash all of their dirty clothes before coming home, and how much of your precious holiday time does it take away smile
