DGD going on hols with friends to Malia (aka as Wild West!)

Some time ago I asked about above and you were all so sensible and reassuring-thank you. Holiday is in July.
Well, last night at 3.30am we had a phone call from DGD's Mum (our DD) and SIL to say said DGD had collapsed in a nightclub about 3/4 hour from where we live and was being taken to hospital. DD and SIL couldn't go then as they were in their caravan in Anglesey. Of course DH and I met DGD at hospital to find her in a dreadful state, it seems her drink had been spiked.
All's well that ends well but it's made me even more anxious about hol in Maliasad

Oh dear dear - bloody drugs. This was not such a worry when ours were younger. The only consolation is that she will have learned a very important lesson and hopefully this will make her wiser and warier for the future. You just finish worrying about your own (or do you?) and then there is another lot to worry about. Sigh.

Oh gosh how scary - thank goodness she's ok but as Luckygirl says this will have made her very wary of just what can happen even in your own town. I'm sure she'll be fine and hopefully she will also install on her friends to all look out for each other.
