ffinochio Sorry for the delay. I live in the Limousin, have seen some posts from others who live in France.

Hi TriciaF good to have GN'ers out here too.

Thankyou for your welcomes, I'm getting brave and have posted a few times now, some really interesting and gripping posts, BUT, I feel like a 'Billy no mates', is there really no one in the South/West Yorkshire area, it would be good to arrange a meet up at some time. There doesn't appear to be much detail on the Local GN site (the role of editor for the local page looks a bit too involved).

Hello Christinefrance what makes you think GN is cliquey? Just join in whatever you fancy commenting on.
We were all newcomers once.

You find you do get to "know" other people after a fashion and in difficult times when they need support and times when you celebrate with them. When after lurking I announced my DSG1 had been born I was overwhelmed by the greetings and good wishes.
There is often a lot of support and good advice for GNrs needing to work out to do in a difficult situation.

Welcome Kateykrunchflowers. Your name sounds like a chocolate bar! I am trying to cut out sugar so maybe that is why the thought come to me! I hope you will continue to enjoy GN.

Welcome Kateycrunch I found that it took a while to settle in but I have now been a member for years. There are some exceptionally nice people here.

Kateykrunch Mon 30-May-16 11:11:04

Hello everyone, I'm new here (been lurking for a while), I've found it very informative, funny, interesting, educational, scarey and sad in equal doses. I am in South Yorkshire, between Wakefield and Barnsley, if anyone fancies a meet up sometime, let me know.

rubylady Sun 29-May-16 22:49:16

Welcome to all new GNers. It's just about getting to know people's personalities, like in real life. But so much support, care and fun. Friends, there 24 hours a day, what more could you want? smile

Hello Maisiejo and welcome to GN. Lots of chat and advice, as well as the occasional heated discussion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and most people express it but it is all very democratic.

I've been on GN for a couple of years now, Christinefrance and not found it cliquey at all. What has made you feel like this? Have you had a bad experience of posting? If so, that is very sad but usually people are made welcome.
