DH left to go to work at 6 a.m. this morning, only to discover that our two garden sheds had been broken into overnight, and several items had been stolen - power tools, electric car polishers belonging to DS2, even our store of rolls of kitchen towel and loo paper and trays of Diet Coke had been taken!
I have to say that the Police were wonderful and a 12-year-old constable (!) arrived within the hour and we're currently waiting for a Scene of Crime Officer. They are taking this seriously as there have apparently been several incidents of this nature recently in the area (which used to be a lovely place to live).
We got burgled about 5 years ago, but that time it was the house, and we lost a great many items of emotional value that can't be replaced. Since then, the house is like Fort Knox! But obviously not the garden.......
Am I overreacting in feeling so angry? My DH still works very hard at 65 for what we have, and these people just feel that they can help themselves.
Your next holiday must be to where the first holiday you remember , where are you going?g

So sorry to hear that margsus it is a horrible feeling to be burgled and you are right to feel anger. Those who steal oftn have a certain arrogance to think it is in anyway OK to take things other people have worked hard for .
