Feeling pants with chest infection but snuggled up on the sofa with Radio4. Dogs ecstatic that I'm at home.

Good morning all. Was thinking of you and yours, harrigran. I hope you will soon have reassuring news from your DD.

Imperfect27 Tue 22-Mar-16 09:19:08

Morning all. Well, what drama Anya - wondering what happened next! All serene in N. Kent so far today. Late in last night after 2+ hour delay on MWay coming home from DDs. Glad of a quiet day today.

trisher Tue 22-Mar-16 08:55:40

Morning all. Lovely sunny day here in the NorthEast. Dreadful news about Brussels, turning off the television and going out. Can't watch anymore.
Anya you're not in Happy Valley are you?

ninathenana Tue 22-Mar-16 08:49:26

Morning all.
Deep breaths Anya smile
Harrigran very worrying for you. I haven't seen/heard any news yet so wasn't aware.
It's a lovely sunshine morning in N Kent.

harrigran Tue 22-Mar-16 08:41:10

Good morning, it is a lovely sunny morning in the north east.
The bomb blasts in Brussels are very worrying, I hope DD is sitting in her office and not travelling today. There have been explosions on the metro too sad

Alea Tue 22-Mar-16 08:36:46

Good morning! A lovely day here sunshine
Thank goodness your old dog wasn't too frightened by the stramash Anya (never mind your feelings grin ), how very alarming!

Indinana Tue 22-Mar-16 08:33:16

Good morning everyone,

Heavens, what a start to the day Anya. I do hope you find out what it was all about - and let us all know of course wink.

Another lovely morning here, with sunshine and blue skies. Nothing planned today, so I'm hoping to get on with some sewing (though it's a pretty safe bet that his nibs will say "fancy going out somewhere?" now that I've decided on sewing)

Enjoy your day folks.

daffydil Tue 22-Mar-16 08:19:26

Good morning from a sunny mid Essex. Blue skies too so looks promising day.
Keep us posted Anya. We once had a drugs raid on the house opposite. It was after dark and all the lights were blazing so we were able to see the police running from room to room. This is a quiet cul de sac of only 9 Houses and this one was let at the time and the tenants left soon after.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Spring has sprung!
Wow anya what a wake up.
Watching the news from Brussels. Do you hate it when they spend the programme speculating about what might have happened and ignore all the other real news?

Gagagran Tue 22-Mar-16 08:05:35

Morning everyone - looking glorious out there so hope it stays that way.

DGD is on her way to Krakow with school today - 4.30am meeting up at school prior to heading to the airport. They are going to Auschwitz this afternoon so it will be a long and tiring day both emotionally and physically. She has promised to tell me all about it when they get back. I am thinking of her.

NanaandGrampy Tue 22-Mar-16 07:49:42

Morning !

No such excitement here Anya but I am a little excited about the blue skies in our part of Essex !! Lovely !

Just a niff , naff and trivia sort of day today !

PRINTMISS Tue 22-Mar-16 07:45:25

Good morning all, and what a start to the day Anya, a real life drama on your doorstep! We have a really bright morning here, and the washing is on, so hopefully it will by dry by this afternoon - not sure when the ironing will get done. Not a lot planned, Enjoy your days.

ginny Tue 22-Mar-16 07:44:14

Good Morning all.
N. Bucks is bright this morning but I'm not. Have got a cold and feeling off par. Just waiting for DH to bring me a cup of tea before I get up. I'm no planning to do much today.

Nana3 Tue 22-Mar-16 07:35:04

That's enough excitement for one day Anya. Laughed about your 'guard' dog.
Weather here fine, sun doing it's best to break through. I very much enjoyed WI walking group yesterday, had lunch with them too.
Visiting care homes today, on Mum's behalf, but not up yet and not feeling motivated.

loopylou Tue 22-Mar-16 07:25:45

Good morning everyone
It's a bit murky here in Wiltshire but hopefully the sun will come out later.
Off to lunch with a friend later, which will be lovely.

whitewave Tue 22-Mar-16 07:20:40

Good morning in this beautiful start to the day.
anya amazing how this life goes on about which we know nothing really.

Off to Alfriston today pack up a picnic walk along the river hopefully the mud has dried up. Then visit the Clergy House. Haven't been there for years. First purchase of NT

kittylester Tue 22-Mar-16 07:20:35

Good morning! Wow - what a start Anya. Wonder what he had done?

It's bright but chilly here in North Leicestershire. Today, I am going to Lakeland and the adjacent garden centre - addictive behaviour - once I start going to garden centres I can't stop!

Enjoy your Tuesdays everyone and keep us posted Anya. sunshine

Alima Tue 22-Mar-16 07:19:18

Morning all, beautiful here in north Hampshire today. What a start to the day for you Anya. How do you know the shepherd was German? Wearing lederhosen?

Anya Tue 22-Mar-16 07:08:57

All quiet now, and off to hairdressers at 9.00am. Hope I find out what it was all about too. It could so easily have been my back gate and back garden as the gates are adjacent shock

cornergran Tue 22-Mar-16 07:04:19

Morning All. Wow that was a beginning to your day Anya. Has the adrenalin settled yet? Think I prefer Mick's dawn chorus. Wonder if you will know from local news or press what it was all about. Hope Tuuesday is calmer than its beginning.

NfkDumpling Tue 22-Mar-16 07:02:15

Wow! How exciting Anya! I hope they let you know the rest of the story!

Good morning All

And a sunny blue sky morning it is too in Norfolk! I would like to do some gentle gardening or go for a walk with friends, but it's the only opportunity I'll have to go shopping to try to find a present for my DH to open on his birthday this weekend as he's off out for the day.

Have a lovely day Everyone sunshine

Anya Tue 22-Mar-16 06:40:52

Exciting start to the morning as was woken by aloud bang about an hour ago. Looked out the window to see two men and a German shepherd in next door's garden - the two men grappling with each other.

The noise was their back gate being kicked in and one of the two men was a policeman. The other man was handcuffed and taken away and they asked to search my garden for his accomplice. No one found but very noisy police helicopter circling overhead as I write.

DH away so by myself at the moment. Our geriatric guard dog slept through everything hmm

Good Morning Everyone,
It was light very early this morning, and I even heard the dawn chorus at 0400 whilst in bed, I sign of spring. But its looking nice at the moment here in Brackley.
