A rather late happy birthday to you Lillie - that is a great show - Tim Minchin's adaptation is very clever. Roald Dahl was so clever. I hope you had a great time xx.

Lillie Tue 08-Mar-16 10:45:47

My birthday today and the grandchildren have bought me tickets for tonight's show of Matilda. Roald Dahl was a wicked children's writer!!
Hope the day goes well tor others.

Thinking of you on this sad day Mick.

Dull here is N.Bucks today. A few jobs to do and a baby jacket to sew up this morning. Hair cut appointment after lunch and then a visit to friends and dinner with DD3, SIL and baby DGS this evening.

Morning All from our grey and wet corner of Somerset. What a lot happening today, so mixed.

Thoughts are with you and your family Mick. Take care of each other

Congratulations Printmiss and of course to Mr P also to Loopy. You got there! Because work left me gradually I didn't mark my retirement. Sort of wish I had now.

Morning everyone

Mick, my thoughts are with you on this sad day.

Congratulations PRINTMISS, that is quite an achievement!

My DD's birthday today - may suggest we take her out somewhere for lunch. Not wonderful weather forecast, but we might get away with it.

Happy days, eh Loopy? I remember my first day of retirement so well. It was August and a bright sunny day. I walked up to the shops, got home and realised I'd forgotten something. And I thought, 'so what? I've got all the time in the world now. I'll just go straight back!' Wonderful feeling of freedom - freedom from the constraints of work and freedom to please myself. Enjoy smile

Thinking of you Mick, just because we are "grown up" does not lessen the sorrow of losing a dear parent. I hope your family and friends are all there to support each other and to celebrate a good life.RIP Mick's Dad flowers
