My very kind DD, knowing I love them, bought me a large box of Hotel Chocolat chox. I was so looking forward to breaking into them last night. However, they were just not right. I checked the bottom and discovered that they were past their sell by date. I was with her when she bought them in John Lewis yesterday. What to do? I don't want to tell her, it seems graceless somehow. I can't return them to the shop as I didn't pay for them so no proof of purchase. But they were very expensive. John Lewis shouldn't have let this happen. What to do?
