I've had a lovely-if exhausting-couple of weeks looking after assorted dgc in assorted places! We've been to playgroup, soft play, nursery, playground, toy shop, swimming pool and some rather nice cafes. To top it all I still managed to lose 3lbs thanks to dil's support on the cooking front. Poor DH, however, was smitten with a dreadful sore throat of the can't swallow variety, and spent a lot of time attached to mugs of tea and paracetamol. He then developed a rash which made us a little concerned re measles given the very sore throat. Can adults catch measles?? He's on the mend now but still looks a bit pale and interesting! We're having a quiet weekend at home to recover, but now I've got itchy feet so have booked all my tickets/hotel for Edinburgh meet up!

I have had 2 DGCs here this week plus their mother and their uncle and another uncle and aunt attending for evening meals.
I'm gradually returning the house to normal by not leaving a room without picking something up and returning it to its proper place in another part of the house
