.....for me it would be not having to get up to pee 3 times a night.

To be fit and able, free from chronic pain so I could do some charity work hands on

Phoebes Sun 07-Feb-16 18:01:11

All these comments make me realise how lucky I am and that I shouldn't complain! Sympathy and prayers for everyone who is suffering!
To anyone who is lonely but able-bodied -even if you are not a believer, go to church and get involved. You will only meet nice people there and make new friends and there are always lots of things going on. Don't be afraid!

To be happy? No thats too bigger thing! To be more contented inspite of all the crap life throws at us and the ones we love. ? That would help.

To be in better health ?
Wish I hadn't given up driving years ago ?

Our life could be a lot more pleasant if the neighbours on one side would move away.

Jalima Sun 07-Feb-16 15:57:18

Oh no, shall I give you an alibi?

kittylester Sun 07-Feb-16 15:53:29

At this precise moment in time, just one very small bullet, in a gun, to aim at the bl@@dy Idiot! angry

Jalima Sun 07-Feb-16 15:49:26

A pair of good strong feet would be wonderful.

granjura Sun 07-Feb-16 15:36:46

Getting rid of the tendonitis on the heel of my good leg! My right leg is cream crackered, car accident when I was 19- much shorter than the other and the knee completely kaput and will be replaced mid March- but it is actually the tendonitis on the good leg that it causing more at the moment.

Falconbird Sun 07-Feb-16 15:32:03

All my own teeth, good and strong would be sooo wonderful. grin

Corncob Sun 07-Feb-16 15:21:19

More company, can go for days without chatting to anyone,so life can get lonely. I talk to my dog who must think I am bonkers.

henbane Sun 07-Feb-16 14:25:09

As joannapiano said, it would be nice to have all of my own teeth. But after 18 months with NO top teeth while for an operation, I'd settle for someone else's if I could eat steak, salad, nuts, unmashed fruit & veg etc. grin is particularly inappropriate...

To win a small prize in the Lotto (£1mill would be more than enough),
so I can buy my own house and keep hens...!

This thread reminds me how trivial my worries are! For which I'm thankful. I have had much huger worries which have passed/resolved themselves but some people like me always find something to worry about! Very tiresome.

wot Sun 07-Feb-16 14:02:31

Yes, the dreaded"3am thoughts"!

Dee Sun 07-Feb-16 13:57:33

Alima I recommend that you take an Advanced Driving Course.
It took me ages to learn to drive originally in the 70s, I passed my test at the 11th attempt. My driving has been ok over the years but I took the advanced test after a free course with ROSPA two years ago and got a 'good' silver.
I felt very validated and its definitely made me a better and more confident driver. All the instructors are volunteers who want you to do well.

sluttygran Sun 07-Feb-16 13:50:18

A house rental which I could afford!

wot Sun 07-Feb-16 13:44:44

Same as Alima........less fear of driving and able to go to a proper town in the car!

Just one straightforward control panel to work the TV, DVD player, and You View. Invariably I get something sorted out, start watching, and then a part of me touches another of the panels and it all goes skewiff and I have to get up, put the light on, and start over again. hmm

To have arms like Twizzle (remember him?) so that I can reach all the things that I've forgotten to gather near my chair once I've sat down for the evening in front of the telly. Then I wouldn't have to keep shifting the small dog off my lap and getting up and down several dozen times to get all those things.

The perennial joints, ergo no pain. Having had a hip replacement last year I have got my life back, but still some pain. Really want to get back to the very energetic person I have always been.

Funnygran Sun 07-Feb-16 12:54:37

I'm with Loopylou and Marmark1 too. Tinnitus and deafness are a pain and it would be lovely if they just disappeared. Would be nice if the joints were a bit more mobile as well.

inishowen Sun 07-Feb-16 12:49:26

To be able to eat without suffering heartburn, and also not getting up to pee at night!

Stansgran Sun 07-Feb-16 12:33:40

To have a gas fire which I don't have to kneel on the floor to turn on( I can't kneel or if I do get up) and I like the glow on a dull day
