Yes, the dreaded insomnia strikes again.
The Devil In The Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke - BBC IPlayer
Labelling cake tins or cutlery you have loaned.
Daughter not allowed to know new baby’s name until she visits him
I have never taken a " selfie", danced the Slosh, been on a motorcycle, or eaten beetroot, nor do I want to.
I might like to go up in a helicopter.
Yes, the dreaded insomnia strikes again.
Another 'non-sleeper' Jayh
?
I have never ridden on a motorbike or smoked a joint.
I would like to get a proper tap out if my tap shoes when I am attempting to do a time step.
I've never 'driven through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in my hair'
Probably never will now
But why not ...?
I've helicoptered over NYC, I've swum in the caribbean and the indian ocean, I've been to Iguazu Falls, the Grand Canyon, to the top of the Empire State Building.....I travelled to India on a plane on my own
I've seen all the GC (2) I'm going to have
but happy
that they are adorable and I love them to the
and back
I will never jump from a plane, do a bungee jump or abseil down a building but I would like to run a half-marathon, live long enough to see my grand-girlies flourish and both of my DC happily re-settled
I like this thread Daddima - thank you
I've never seen 'The Sound if Music'
I have never seen Adele sing live - but have seen Tina Turner, Paul McCartney and Rod Stewart.
So - when I saw the Adele in concert info pop up, I thought to myself "and why not?".
So had to spend half a day on line going from site to site to site and finally secured a ticket for October!
This was high on my bucket list - and I am thrilled I am spoiling myself doing something I've always said I would do before it gets too late!
for you Perdita I hope you are making good progress and will soon be back walking the Moor.
I have never played golf or run a marathon and do not wish to do either
I would like to visit Rome.
I want to do a sky dive to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance. I've just had to use them, as a week ago I had a heart attack while walking on Dartmoor with my husband. They saved my life!
I've just returned from a two day "can't draw, won't draw course" which was a Christmas present.
I loved it, though I was the only person of the 12 participants who had never picked up a pencil since leaving school ( 50 years ago). 5 of the other women were regulars at a painting class and everyone else had done UV3 age courses or similar. Still, it was fabulous to join in and discover that the publicity is correct - we can all draw (though in my case, not very well)
I can't think of anything that I wanted to do and haven't done. I think I've led a sheltered life.
I have never bungee jumped or scuba dived and never want to.
I have done a lot of the things mentioned before. Snakes and spiders are not as bad as they are made out to be, but rollercoasters are hell on earth.
I enjoyed pot holing when younger much preferring to go down than to climb.
I finally got round to seeing The Mousetrap last year.
Loads more things to tick off my list yet!
I've walked on the Great Wall of China, climbed to the top of the Statue of Liberty, been in a lift up the Empire State
Building, trekked in Nepal, spent a morning on my own in Kathmandu, ridden on an elephant in Delhi, went as a single traveller in a group to Cambodia, went to India twice on my own as a single traveller in a group and took myself off to New York on my own for my 60th birthday as OH and family had not planned anything for me. I would never touch any reptile, eat snails or frogs legs. I want to go to New York again on my own before I get too old!
Never done a bungee jump, pot holing or taken drugs and don't want to do either. Have skied - not keen - held a snake and a tarantula, been in a hot air balloon, seen the Grand Canyon and many other things but I've never scuba dived and think I probably won't now. However I still quite fancy a helicopter ride.
I have tried rock climbing and potholing and wouldn't do either again. No wish to trust a rubber band to hold my weight, jump out of a plane or walk on the wings. Would like to travel anywhere in the world and do a balloon flight
How interesting that so many of you mention skiing. Now me, (see my name), I love all things icy and sporty, but I have never been pot-holing and am terrified by just thinking of it. Likewise free climbing. I have never taken any kind of 'recreational' drugs, categorically wouldn't want to.
I've never taken recreational drugs, or jumped out of a plane are just two things I will never do.
I do want to carry on learning and educating myself. I want to travel to as many different places as possible I want to keep busy at home when not travelling and trying new things like photography and singing. All part of education really.
I have been on a motorbike and got thrown off, and lived to tell the tale (obviously!), have flown in helicopters in Sri Lanka, France and in the UK and loved it, have never been to the USA, Australia or New Zealand and would love to travel more.
I crewed a hot air balloon for 15 years, so have had more balloon flights than I can count and loved every minute of them, have ice skated but not roller skated, and don't want to, have not held a snake, but would be up for that.
I have had tea at the Savoy, but not Claridges and would like to, and have not seen "The Mousetrap" but have a ticket to see it next month
!
Have flown in a helicopter once - there will not be a twice.
Done all of them and they were FUN FUN FUN
I have swum in the Bahamas, helicoptered in Norway, seen the fjiords, visited Canada and driven the Columbia Icefields Parkway. All glorious experiences in different ways.
When visiting Oslo recently, we saw the Winter Olympics Ski Jump. It's terrifyingly steep. Now that I would love to do! In my dreams, though, as I don't even ski. Mind you, a Canadian skiing friend says even at nearly 70, I could learn. Though probably not to the standard required to do the ski jump
.
A simulator might be the next best thing.
I never want to bungee jump or jump out of an aeroplane.
I have kissed a policeman (he wasn't on duty) and a fireman, not at the same time.
I would like to swim, though I think it's unlikely at my age, especially as I don't do anything about it.
I have never done clay pigeon shooting, had any teeth removed or run a marathon.
I would like to go on the Orient Express and learn to play the piano.
i would like to join a choir but I can't sing
I would like to be tall and slim
Another thing I would like
Is to able to ride a bike
To see my grandkids grown and tall
Would be my greatest wish of all ????
I have never been in a plane and never will
I want to visit The Holy Land, India, Italy , S A , and Australia just to see Ayers Rock
mmmmmmmm
I've never been swimming (fear of water), never been on a motorbike, never given a speech, never done a bungee jump! Have been in a very small plane, with hubby as pilot (scary) and I used to ice skate as a teen and loved it.
