Another from Equatorial Guinea. I am currently enjoying a nice glass of Vouvray and intend to have a glass of red with my meal - it's Friday. Cheers! wine

A new one - Lebanon -. The problem, apart from the wine glass query is that the questionnaire assumes that what you drank in the last week is typical of what you drink every week.

The irony is that the less you drink, the less any given week is likely to be 'typical'. I have weeks when I do not drink at all. On Tuesday I went out for a celebration meal, that accounted for all my alcohol consumption last week. Over Christmas my drinking pattern will be completely different.

Italy which is the joint 86th heaviest drinking : this is based on the fact that in the past week I have had 3 glasses of wine. I have had 5 'dry' days and last week I had no alcohol, so the whole thing is a nonsense hmm

Kuwait for me too I don't drink .

Greyduster Fri 18-Dec-15 12:58:32

Bring a bottle, Tegan! Only so that we can send it out to sea with a message in it, you understand....once it's empty!grin

Tegan Fri 18-Dec-15 12:23:59

I'm Timor Leste also [but that's only because I've had two glasses of wine that I normally wouldn't have had]. Desert Island, eh; that sounds good to me! See you there Greyduster.....

12Michael, yes I know how to calculate the number of units in a set amount of alcohol, but the questionnaire on the BBC link gives no indication of how big the 'glass of wine' is.

So someone who drinks, say, one small 125ml (or even less) glass a day would be lumped together with someone who drinks a large 250ml (or more) glass a day...tchconfused

Greyduster Fri 18-Dec-15 12:06:02

Timor-Leste (?) for me, based on my two glasses of red this week. Isn't that where Captain Bligh fetched up after they chucked him off the Bounty? I'm sure DH would find that quite appropriate at the moment!! Next week wine? Watch this space!

Alima Fri 18-Dec-15 11:50:30

Kuwait for me too. Cannot do hangovers these days, chocolate is my downfall.

shysal Fri 18-Dec-15 11:49:04

Kuwait. Never drink alcohol.

Mick

It doesn't state how much is in the 'glass of wine', which could make a big difference!

Aurelia Fri 18-Dec-15 11:16:29

India
But it will be a different story next week! tchsmile

Gagagran Fri 18-Dec-15 11:14:04

Italy for me

grumppa Fri 18-Dec-15 11:10:26

Andorra.

Katek Fri 18-Dec-15 10:49:12

Kuwait for me-no surprises there

trisher Fri 18-Dec-15 10:30:40

Did it twice-first time got Timor-Leste ( is this what was once known as East Timor?). Next time got France. You have to exit and reclick to change the country, but same amount gave the results.
Next week could be very different!

Lilygran Fri 18-Dec-15 10:15:54

Kuwait. But my drinking habits are erratic. I could have ended up at the UK end of the scale!

gillybob Fri 18-Dec-15 09:54:24

Equatorial Guinea for me too Indiana

5 small glasses of wine (mixed with soda water just to make it last longer) tchsmile

annodomini Fri 18-Dec-15 09:49:39

Kuwait. If it had been the previous week, it would have been Italy. Christmas week, I will probably lose count.

Indinana Fri 18-Dec-15 09:41:02

Equatorial New Guinea! tchhmm. Joint 86th.

Teetime Fri 18-Dec-15 09:34:15

Charleygirl Fri 18-Dec-15 09:27:28

I should move to Kuwait it would appear- it may be different next week but I will not be the same class as Belarus.

Anya Fri 18-Dec-15 09:18:28
