Today DH and I set off to the local Outlet Centre to pick up a pair of jeans to finish off an outfit for our toddler dgs. It was DHs idea and although there were other things to be done I thought....Well, it's a lovely day, let's do it.
Into M & S and got a pair of toddler jeans reduced from £12.99 down to £4. Well pleased. Job done.
Then I went upstairs to Clearance for the real bargains which can be hit and miss regarding stock. DH went outside to have a dander.
I bought.....
2 packs of 24 Christmas cards reduced from £10.99 to 99p each. (next year's cards)
A pair of ladies Sculpt and Shape jeans with no original price but tagged at £5. When I came home I checked their on line store and they are £39.50.
A double pack of their white school polo shirts for dgs aged 5 school uniform £1.50 for the pack.
Well pleased, I left the store and DH was chatting to an old work colleague and doing catch up.
We called at Asda for milk, decided to have coffee, and instead had fish and chips which was very nice.
I'm so glad I went out with DH this afternoon albeit originally half heartedly.
It was a lovely 15 minute drive through the countryside to the Outlet, bargains were found, and DH had a good yarn with an old mate.
DH is now dozing contentedly.
My shopping trip today was certainly worthwhile.
A bargain, a chat, out for a few hours on a nice day, not having to come home and make dinner.... any one of these would have been nice on their own.
What has brightened one of your routine shopping trips ?
Odd - weird and wonderful - almost unbelievable - or is it just me?
Cookery books and other books - are you keeping them ?
Off Licence/Off Label Medication
What was directly across the road from the school you went to?
